I really don't think the age or smarts matter in this case. Naruto's shown really high devotion(I personally think if you believe/are devoted to something really strong you'll have a strong "will" concerning that) to protect all his friends, Konoha and also bring Sasuke back or defeat him. It would also seem he knows mastering Kyuubi's power seems necessary to fulfill his promises.

 

Plausible, but that's not what happened to Killer Bee... His Bijuu refers to the time it was 'evil' meaning it's passed that phase. Potentially, we can expect the same to happen to the Kyuubi.

 

Well, the eight tails looks like Pantyhouse Taro from Ranma 1/2 so I guess he was a big wuss from the beginning. I don't want the Kyuubi to cooperate with Naruto or to be friends with him. It would remind me too much to all these bad fanfiction where the kyuubi talks like this and calls Naruto either pup or measly human.

Then again, it will probably happen.

 

Well if we take the most recent chapter of the manga into account, it seems more plausible he will not have to block out the 'evilness' but actually have to accept it for what it is.

I don't know, that's just what I think, because he's never trully accepted it, and always tried, maybe on a sub conscious level, to fight it. I guess we'll just have to find out next week :/

EDIT: oh and Nemrut, I think you mean Kit, I don't think I've ever come across a story where kyuubi calls Naruto pup

 

Actually, I would like the Kyuubi to be like be very Vegeta-esqe. The bad-ass that he was before he became 'good'. That would be fucking awesome. lol

I've actually never read Naruto on Magna Stream before, does it always come out on Wednesday nights? Anyway, I like the translations a lot more than the ones they have on onemanga.com.... I'm probably going to go to Magna Stream from now on. (even if it takes forever to load....)

And yup, looks like a power of wills, i wonder what will happen to the fox when Naruto wins? It obviously won't disappear, because Bee's didn't, but it can't be locked in anymore, I guess we'll find out next week.

 

I laughed hard when I saw the scene with Naruto playing headless.
Its good that Kishi didn't take the fun out of the manga by making Naruto a training-obsessed all-serious/emo guy. And now I'm looking forward to the next chapter to see the resolution (unless Kishi remains his anal self and chooses to advance some other part of the story).

 

That was probably the funniest moment in Naruto for a good while; this entire arc has been great about re-introducing a bit of humor into the manga.

Next chapter promises to be epic.

 

Alright, say what you want, this chapter was epic. I actually wasn't expecting the gate to ever open. Kyuubi's personality post-takeover should be interesting as well - as we all know Naruto's going to win.

(This manga's actually good when it's focusing on the main character.)

 

I dunno, thought the chapter was meh. The rapping wasn't any funnier than last time and this whole tempel seems really convenient to be around, even more since we know that the Hidden Villages aren't older than 80 years.

Wasn't too bad but wasn't anything great either. And yes, the kyuubi looked incredibly silly.

 

It's probably difficult to translate Japanese raps into English raps. I don't blame 'em if they aren't very good or funny.

The Kyuubi looked kick ass on that page. Also, Naruto should do more with seals. He actually looked like he knew more than a few techniques for a minute there.

 

Nah, he probably knows the element seal or whatever that's needed to open the seal but I doubt he knows much more other than the usual stuff like exploding tags and such - unless Jiraiya and Naruto actually did something other than getting Naruto's head screwed back on straight and messing with the Kyuubi.

@Nemrut: Ya, 'gree with you. I used to find plausibility to be a big issue when following Naruto - its even worse than HP fanfiction and that's saying something. But then this is manga meant for kids and we aren't that young. I may not buy this now but I would certainly have bought it when I was 12yrs old. (Edit: Doesn't make it any easier to read knowing that, but I just suspend all logic and disbelief when I open the chapter)

 

I actually liked this chapter. For one, it disproved one thing that has been central to fanfics for years:

THE PAPER DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER. IT'S THE SHIT BEHIND IT THAT COUNTS.

 

In other news, the Anime's version of the Pain fight has been consistently awesome. The fact that the filler scenes they've added were things like fight scenes for characters like Ibiki and Konan who don't get any proper combat time in the manga is pretty nice.

 

Eh, I stopped watching the anime a long time ago, the fillers were just so boring. I'd rather just get the main story line, and I hate the characters voices, it ruins the whole thing for me :/
