Dope gym battle was dope. Haunter is once again badass. Lt Surge went out like a boss.

 

Holy shit. Words cannot accurately describe how awesome this chapter was. I thought the fic was taking a small nosedive but... wow.

Easily one of the most exciting fics i'v read. This guy can write action. I just love the realism of it. Brock using a crossbow to fight, then taking on an Arbok..epic.

Haunter is something of a trump card. Can win any battle with him . I think Ash's Chameleon is going to evolve soon, Charizard would be epic in a fight.

 

We still haven't seen how broken psychics are. Remember that this is still first-gen, where psychics were insanely overpowered - even Haunter has a two-way weakness to psychic.

 

Makes me wonder how ash will counter that. It'd be sweet if he adapted some kind of block.

 

Ash/Red NEEDS a Snorlax, undeniably. And I do believe there is one located around there.

He can even name it Oz.

 

I thought the Snorlax in Gen 1 was on the path to Bill's house?

Snorlax would be kind of boring unless characterized well (oh awesome, Snorlax is sleeping again!). I just caught up on all the recent chapters, Ash becoming a gym leader sounds like a nice change of pace, though he seems to be more of a Fire gym leader than an electric one... I wonder if he'll establish a theme.

 

Oz, I am disapoint. You forgot Magikarp. Gyrados anyone? :awesome

 

I just went out and bought a secondhand DS and Soul SIlver 'cause of this fic. It brought back my preteen love of pokemon, and paired it up with my teen love of violence, and post-teen realisation that pokemon are real, so long as you eat the right mushrooms.



Money was spent on this, but none went to the creator. Know what that means?

I hope Ash catches a Horsea, or even a Drowsee. It would be awesome to make the Rockets fall asleep and have a Drowsee start munching on their brain via Dream Eater.

Against Psychic types, he could just catch a bug. I think the logic behind Bug > Psychic is that bugs are too stupid to be affected, so just swarm them with the beasts.

 

Sun Soul updated with what amounts to a filler chapter, though it was pretty decent nonetheless.

Oak is back and has accomplished sweet fuck all compared to Ash, thermal imaging has been invented and Dawn is a savant. Still, I see a joining of plots being set up for the mid-future with Teams Rocket and Galactica. Anyone else get the feeling the machine Ash blew up in Lavender will be upscaled in Sinnoh?

 

Anyone else get the feeling that Oak was hoping for a little Ash/Dawn?

He handled the transition from Part 1 to Part 2 splendidly, I'm ridiculously happy that he didn't spend chapters detailing just what he did in Vermilion.

Looking forward to more, as always.

While everything's going all well and great here, I just gotta say: Galactica. Really?

Dude even justified it.

At least now the story's become a lot funnier...

(Oh, and Haunter is a fuckin' boss, and I'd recommend a beta or something for 50Cal, 'cause there were a few mistakes here and there that could've been pruned.)
