I've never seen anybody quite as able to nail tone as Skysaber does in this fic. The whole of it really feels as if it were written by Gilderoy Lockhart, and you soon realize it's told by an unreliable narrator and start reading between the lines. The satirical parallel between Lockhart's "textbooks" and the typical self-insert fic is amusing throughout.

4.5/5. Very good tone, no major grammatical or spelling trainwrecks, but abandoned.

Oh, I remember this...

The protagonist is a self-righteous douchebag that imposes a sense of morality so starkly black-and-white that its complete lack of empathy borders on the psychopathic. I might have enjoyed a 'villain sue' version of this fic a bit more (the protagonist certainly does some horrible things for apparently nothing more than shits and giggles), but not by much, because if you distill the pure essence of everything that makes self-inserts bad, you'd pretty much get this. Up to an including a complete lack of plot: Skysaber simply steamrolls through everyone, healing the sick and punishing those perceived as guilty, without anything even providing a credible challenge, much less a setback. -(6.02×10²³)/5.

I'm more surprised by how many responds to them. I saw at least 5 different fic about his Naruto challenge (running Hokage) and they were also quite long.
