I'll probably get flamed for this, but The Thief of Hogwarts sucks. It had so much potential. The idea of a Kleptomaniac!Harry is cool and original, but the execution is just... boring and fluffy.

 

I think that's more about how your humor differs, than the story being boring, although I agree that not a lot is happening in the story right now.

 

By "a really shoddy take on Mentor!Snape," do you by chance mean Snape's retrieval of Harry from the train station? 'Cause I only needed to get to Harry's being Sorted into "SLYTHER-PUFF" to X-out of that travesty. *shakes head*
