That was ridiculously awesome. I'm confused as to how Gin's Bankai works though. I get the poison part and it doesn't extend as fast as he claimed, but isn't it still fucking fast if Ichigo can barely dodge it with his max speed?

 

Well, there is the outside possibility of Gin taking Aizen's place and becoming the new Big Bad, but otherwise I agree. Shonen tends to be fairly formulaic that way.

Why does touching your blade help against Aizen's hypnosis?

But, a surprisingly good chapter, even though I wished that Aizen didn't see this one coming. This "I know you knew that I know that I wanted to betray you" is a bit silly.

 

The same reason touching Tousen's blade dispels his Bankai's effect.

Hey, ever uber-ability has a weak spot to exploit. The good guys need it to win.

 

To theorize, one would think that a sword that screw's with people's perceptions would also be designed to have no effect on the person wielding it (for obvious reasons). So, by touching the blade you count as wielding it, and then the illusion/mind screw drops.

 

And it's updates like this that keep me reading Bleach. Epic win.

Aizen transforms into an immortal butterfly while Ichigo is apparently still stuck in the oh so original time-dilution...

Btw, everybody capable enough already knows how to walk on air, so why the hell do they get wings on top?

 

And Aizen starts to look like even more of a fag, boring update is boring.

 

There is probably rule in Japan that final form of final boss needs to have wings. But seriously butterfly wings? It may be more original than standard angel/demon wings but it just looks ridiculous.

EDIT: Do I get it right that Gin wants to kill Aizen because it was his men that beat Rangiku? Or this flashback was about something else?

 

Boring? Gin seems to have gotten cut in half and Aizen just grew butterfly wings.

I am not the biggest Bleach fan, but one thing I did like about Bleach was that Aizen, at first when he was revealed to be the big evil mastermind, looked like the guy who would recalculate his past tax forms for fun, some kind of desk-jockey bureaucrat who, judging from his appearance, couldn't have hurt someone even if he tried it.

Him to be this super evil douche was kind of cool. Then they turned around and made him into this bishonen faggot which came to its final form as super fag with retarded butterfly wings.

And really nice of Kubo to give Gin a really generic "I do it for tru wuv" reason.

 

Oh my god, he just went Super Saiyan AND 12-winged angel. Aizen is seriously in full 'Evil God' mode.

And we finally saw Gin's reason. How humanizing, kinda expected, but not something I liked very much.

 

The most ridiculous thing is going to happen as soon as Ichigo confronts Aizen.

It's just like Naruto's Fuuton:Rasengan training, Ichigo is probably going to overcome Aizen's decades of refining his swordmanship and training to utilize his hypnotic supersword to the best of his ability by brute force.

Ichigo is going to completely obliterate 'Super Saiyan 12-winged butterfly angel in evil god mode' Aizen with his improved Getsuga Tenshou.

I called it first.

Seriously, I really would like to read a manga in which the hero isn't uber powerful, I'd prefer someone who's intelligent and/or innovative who actually seizes all the possible ways of improvement that the specific universe provides instead of happily being the stupid powerhouse.

 

I'd quite like Ichigo to stop dicking about in his own head. And for Gin not to be humanized, I liked him when he was weird and cold. And for Aizen not to be a fag. That about covers it.

 

And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, I'm proven wrong again.
