I did a few searches, but didn't come up with a thread regarding it. Figured this was the ideal place to put one.

Basically, who do we have that plays chess? I've started playing again, and have been trying to find a game. IRC won't work for me, for some reason. I'm not sure if I got banned at some point, of if it's just a java incompatibility. Whatever.

If there are enough people that play, maybe setting up a tournament or something over a few weeks would work, I dunno. I played extensively in high school, but stopped playing in college, mostly. Yahoo games' standard rooms are my preferred place to play, but I'm open to going anywhere.

Well, if you ever feel like a game, either set something up though here or in a PM. I'm bored out of my mind, and playing randoms is....tedious. Going afk when they're losing just to be a dick is annoying.

Yeah, if you want to play a game sometime, just drop me a PM or something. I've sobered up a little bit now, after playing random terribles all night. Don't think I lost any though I'm pretty sure I cussed out some little kid who had a stupid fast timer. I don't like fast timed games.

I play chess every now and again. Not all that good at it, but hey, at least I won't quit in the middle of the game. I'll PM you when we're both online. I'll make an account with the word "Menace" somewhere in there so there won't be any confusion over usernames.

 

Good lord, I love chess! I'd like to think that I'm not bad at it, but I know I'm far from the greatest. Still, I'd love to play some DLPers, no doubt. A chess tourney, a la the recent Pokemon tourney? Let the games begin!

I play, but I'm not terribly good. I prefer playing real chess, though. Interacting with the pieces makes me actually think about it, while online I'm basically playing by ear.

 

I play chess, but I prefer Chinese chess. It's more exciting, imho.
