Perhaps nmb you could update the goal on the first post. I can just see lurkers going 'they have already reached their goal, so I will be lazy and not sign up.' For instance we are 411 subscribers away from the number 3 spot. Updating the goal would probably pull a handful of lurkers out of the woodwork.

Was there an influx of members over the last day or so? I advertised it on the old yahoo! group, is all, and I'm wondering if they're still paying attention.

I advertised on a few groups/forums as well. Based on others' comments, at least a few signed up. Quality, maintained communities are rare nowadays, it would seem.

 

We did jump into the game pretty late in all honesty.

 

True Most of the big-name sites are all more than 6 or 7 years old, like SugarQuill(which is read-only now), Mugglenet....

Uh I think Ellisande meant the C2 not the web site.

All but two C2s in the top 50 were made between 04-05 with us and a '07 C2 as the only exceptions.

Edit: We are still in the top 25 most recent C2s at 18

We're doing well really, but lurkers had better keep joining.

 

I think it's time to ask God to change the general announcement that shows up in the index. We've bitch-slapped our fair share of C2s and are now among the top 10. Would be nice to see it say "Help us make it to the Top 3", or 5, or whatever the goal is.
