    Title: Faerie Affairs
Author: Shall be in water writ
    Rating: M
    Link: FFN
Summary: Aurora, Lady of Summer, has taken a key figure from the wizarding world. This is the catalyst that will push the entire world to the brink of chaos. All is left on Harry Potter, who will have to fight his enemies while attempting to regain his humanity.

A curious HP/DF xover. My inner Aurora fanboy jumped in joy when I saw this, but unfortunately the fic turned out to be rather meh. It's still worth a read, though.

New chapter of The Disappearance of Sally-Anne Perks. I liked it a lot, although the developing romantic subplot seems a bit extraneous.

I feel the same. And quite sudden at that. The part with Dumbledore was quite well done. I think this might be library worthy soon.

I'm just pleased to see Harry back in the driver's seat. Romantic plot tumor or not, the story is shaping up to be either amazing or terrible. It will all depend on what happens with the reveal.

I think it's moving a little fast. Usually the dramatic. "Some things are best left forgotten" comes later.

If a little bit of random H/Hr is our vaccination against slash rearing it's ugly head in this very promising story, that's a trip to the doctor's I'll gladly take.

Agreed on it moving way too fast for my tastes, but it has the feel of something the author isn't taking terribly seriously - just an interesting idea they jot down.

I will almost recommend the following story.

    Title: Harbinger of Blood
    Author: Lord Anarchy
    Rating: M for violence/sex/language
Genres and !Harry: Dark Arts, Horror, Action, Adventure. Indy!Harry. Vampire!Harry.
Given Summary: Harry's flight from Voldemort did not go as planned. His luck cannot continue forever as he learns the price of existence. The price of power, more often than not, is greater than just your soul. Post-GoF.

My summary: Basically, a vampire story that does not focus on Draco Malfoy and buttsex, and the Author has never read Twilight or seen the movies so that is a plus. The beginning is sort of the same as one of the Author's other story's, but it changes quite a bit afterwards. Has some hints of typical indy!Harry stuff but the author has come a long way since his earlier works I feel. It looks like the author is shooting for a three way struggle between Grindlewald, Voldemort, and Dumbledore with the way the most recent chapter went, but it is too early to tell.

I would rate it a 3/5, but if comparing to other vampire!harry fics I think it could be rated higher and it has some potential.

Are you referring to yourself in third person, or am I missing something?

I am subtlety advertising my newest story, while being unbiased and making sure everyones expectations are very low when they open the story.

@Lord Anarchy, is this the rewrite that you were talking about in the recycling bin?

If you are talking about "On the Wings of a Phoenix," then no. I've restarted that one about 5 times. This is sort of a rewrite/redo of my other story HP and the Meaning of Life. I would like to think that I have advanced as a writer and that this story is better than my previous attempts, but IDK. I would put this one in the WBA, but with my current track record I decided to not bother.

On that note, the Author has just updated 'Harbinger of Blood' with chapter 8. It is quite interesting. I like how he handled some of the standard, but unavoidable cliches. The plot seems to be slowly coming to light and it will be interesting to see how he incorporates all of his ideas.

The author needs to immediately stop referring to himself as the author
