And it's about the summary. SUMMARY, not the story itself. I browse this thread for the lulz and think "someone actually wrote that?!" and not to rant about some author you dislike.

 

So he are resurrecting a few more people? This fic wins if it's actually a kill-off.

 

I don't dislike that author, he/she just needs to learn not to rush into the story. I honestly think the summary is pretty bad, it’s not really something to do with the grammar or spelling, it's the style. The summary seems like it’s trying to portray a depressing, darkish Potter story but it comes off as too enthusiastic.

 

Just happened across this summary today. I haven't ever really followed these threads too much, so it may have been mentioned in one of the earlier incarnations. I did a search of this one and it wasn't there.

Just saw this over at FicWad, that repository of craptastic fail (why do I even bother checking that site anymore?):

Note that it's three chapters yet still less than 3k words. The author has apparently posted her stories over at harrypotterfanfiction.com under the name abbymalfoy, so it's interesting to note that Jenna's mother is named Abby. Hmm, that's a new one on me - a self-insert not as the main character or the main character's love interest, but a self-insert as the main character's *MOM*. I've heard of living vicariously, but is this living vicariously, vicariously?

Oh, and how are you the heir of "griffindor" with a "muggle born" mother and Draco Malfoy as the father? For Jenna to be the heir of "griffindor", at least one of the parents has to be an heir as well, right? It's not as if little Jenna can have old Godric as a godfather, you know.

FAIL. <--as if that really needed to be stated...

 

Obviously the muggleborn self-insert mother - who, I guarantee you, will be the REAL star of the story - is the heir of Griffindor (not Gryffindor, of Hogwarts, this is the other muggle Griffindor apparently).

Also, self-insert + Tom Felt- I mean, Draco Malfoy = autoFail.

 

@Portus, why are you even giving it that much thought?

 

First impression (and I imagine Vash may sympathise) was a crossover between Harry Potter and porn videos with Jenna Haze. Obviously, I need to expand my media input, but wouldn't that have been at least suitable for a Ficwad story? They post porn about famous people all the time over there- making it overt would perhaps be a lulz-worthy switch.

 

Really? Your mind jumped to Jenna Haze first? Huh...I guess Jenna Jameson is getting old these days isn't she.

Speaking of which...it's been, gosh, probably a couple of years since I've watched anything with either Jenna.

I shall remedy this.

Molly Weasley and the house-elves at Hogwarts plied Harry with sugar enriched, home cooked food under the Headmaster's orders, so that he would get diabetes and thus be easier to control! All they then had to do was hold his insulin pen hostage! And instead of using a love potion so that he would end up marrying Ginny, they just threatened to cut off his supply of insulin!

Opened ff.n to HP, this was glaring up at me...
