This is some awesome shit: a replica game version of a creepy pokémon story originally posted on /v/. It's short but sweet and captures it perfectly.

You can download the game here. The original creepypasta is included with the download in a notepad file, if you'd like to read it. (For a more challenging / suprising play-through, though, I'd recommend playing the game before reading.)

This isn't a fan-made game or a ROM hack - it's a demonstration of the creepy story that was circulating.

It's a one-off showcasing of what supposedly happened to the original poster of the story. And is epic. Just don't make the mistake of thinking it's a normal game hack.

I remember this story. I remember the Pokemon Black one (not the new Pokemon Black, it was a story about a hack of the original Red version) was kind of like that, too.

This game either pisses me off or makes me laugh - depends on what mood I'm in. Whenever I hear "Pokemon" or think about the game, in my mind I see that yellow, electric bastard following me around, and the dreaded whine "Pika-pika!", as if I'd done something to offend the ungrateful shit.

 

Remember that both of those two guys played the hacked games when they were children, and were writing the account in retrospect. It would probably be frightening as hell if we read it/experienced it when we were younger. Now it's just gay.

 

They haven't aged that well. Still good for nostalgia.

I still find the Lavender Town Tone one kind of creepy, though. Especially since it does have a small grain of truth in it.

 

I've loved stories like this for as long as I can remember, I also used to beg my Grandma to tell me ghost stories. Incidentally I'm also a big horror game buff
