Has anybody else been getting this all day? It's been happening to me nine pages out of ten, although they're coming back up eventually.

Yep. Can't seem to open my author's profile page. Everything else is running fine. I can still access my stories but not my profile page.

 

Yeah, that started for me yesterday. Still works if you use ther permanent URL though.

 

It's pretty random as far as which pages don't work - plenty of story, community and author pages seem to be down.
If I keep refreshing, though, eventually it comes back up. Pretty annoying anyway.

Apparently, you can access it from outside. So for any page I want to open, I just google for that page and open it from the google search, and it works fine. Seems to be some sort of internal redirection issue.

Of course, not all pages can be found by googling...

 

Add 0 (zero) before the chapter number, until it works. Hasn't failed yet, did it dozens of times.

So if a story is /s/24321431/5/ and you get an error, make it /05/, then /005/, etc, until it works.

Yeah, this happened to me all today and yesterday. I started getting the message more and more, and if I go back to it later it works. It seems to be happening everywhere, including the archives and authors pages. Adding a zero before the chapter does help, and refreshing does nothing.

I nearly destroyed my laptop in frustration.

 

I'm not sure if anyone's still hitting this problem, but for what it's worth, sometimes the chapter number trick doesn't work, but putting the leading zero in front of the story ID does.

 

Yeah, I think it's down again, but now the pages aren't loading at all.

Edit: it's back up now. Nevermind.

 

It seems to be intermittent. Down, up, down again, up again... a regular fucking pain. :|

 

Were there any announcements of server maintenance or anything like that? It's been going online and offline at completely random times. I just had it working, then I went for the next chapter five minutes later and got absolutely nothing.

EDIT: "September 27th, 2010 -- For the past week we have been performing upgrades to both our server software and hardware. During this time we experienced some minor glitches but all issues have now been resolved. Search engine is now back to normal and blank avatars will be repaired within 12 hours."

And there's the answer.

 

And yet the site still won't fucking work.

 

Seems to be all fixed, now.
