Now that Ichigo is a regular plus(whatever the term is) he probably can't stand to be in the same space as all of his friends. Remember what happens to regular souls who come into contact with captian level souls.

Although this brings up how Kisuke could talk to him? Perhaps Kisuke hid his power because he knew?

 

So if he's just a normal soul now...does that mean he's properly dead?

 

I don't think so, his body is still in the same shape it was before he lost his Shinigami powers isn't it? A Shinigami is the same as any other soul except with special powers.

 

His body did die.

Please don't tell me we're getting a 50+ chapter "recovering his shinigami powers" arc.

 

Not if his friends don't reduce their spiritual pressure we won't, but unless this is the end of Bleach then we'll get a power recovery arc, although I doubt it'll take 50 chapters, 10-20 maybe.

 

Inoue will turn him back into Mr. Awesome and then vanish from the effort. Ichigo will then storm the spirit king castle and seize the ultimate artefact in order to bring her back, again.

Or Ishida will lose his powers again, get it back, again, only to give Ichigo some bitch slaps about how he is able to recover faster than the other.

 

You know, there are two plots I dislike to see most of times. The first one is amnesia for main character, because it's just frustrating that he/she can't remember what was obvious a moment ago. The second one is losing powers and waiting for main character to get them back. Unfortunately it's what will probably happen in Bleach right now. Unless it's time for flashback arc with Ichigo's father as focus.

 

Which would be awesome. What do we know about his father so far anyway?

He and Uruhara should get moar screen time.

Giving your powers to a human.

Turn traitor, try to destroy everything and kill God? Jail time.

Save a life and temporarily give someone some powers? DIE!

 

Perhaps they have lost their only way to execute him? Just a thought...

Anyways, the humour was nice, the ending was somewhat touching, but I'm still disappointed. The nexts chapters will show the direction Bleach will be taking from now on, so I'll be waiting for those.

 

Would be funny though if we suddenly skip 20 000 years ahead and they just release Aizen and he starts to fuck them up again.

Isn't Bleach going to end, would be kind of a good spot to end the series.

 

It's not going to end.

We still haven't seen Isshin's past or the Spirit King. It's more like the end of an arc before we continue on and someone gets kidnapped so Ichigo has to plan a rescue mission.

 

That'll be the sequel, and then Spirit King Ichigo will have to send in his Zero Division to kick Aizens ass all over again.

Now we can officially say - that was definitely too long arc. Or maybe not arc per se, but as a one battle that take two years to end it should be more intense. Still, it will be a great read at one sitting.

But I still think that conclusion is lacking something, maybe because I was sure we will see Aizen attacking Spirit King and the whole battle was only sort of prelude.

I may be wrong, but I think the next time we see Aizen, it will not be him escaping, but Ichigo and co. releasing him so he can help them. Team-up Ichigo and Aizen (who still would be a bad guy, but enemy of my enemy is my friend) vs. Spirit King? That would be quite awesome.
