Not to be a bump of a cock, but WOOHOO, 5th gen is now on simulator. That means everyone has to update their copy of PO if they want to play, but whatever.

 

Count me in. I missed the last one, and I have a sweet-ass NU team already picked.

 

With the new update, the PO client has incorporated all Gen 5 pokemon, all the new moves from Gen 5, and in addition, all of the new abilities for pokes from previous gens.

What with Gen 5 just starting out, there are no tiers as of yet, and there likely won't be any for a while.

So, I'm thinking this tournament should be limited to Gen 4 Pokes, moves, and abilities.

Some may have an unfair advantage from having the game, and honestly, with all the new content, the game balance has shifted dramatically. Without a tier system in place, we won't be able to have a well balanced, fair tournament - because there are truly, truly broken Pokemon in this next gen.

 

Agreed. We should all stick with fourth gen NU teams for this one, at least.

 

Any No 5th gen pokes in the teams submitted so far anyway. Tbh, if there were I would have wut'd hard.

Hm... Is this one of those tournaments involving all that competitive battle stuff? Because while this does sound fun, I'd rather not be brutally humiliated by someones uber team right off the bat. When does the tournament start, anyway? I don't have a team together right now, so that will probably influence my decision.

And what are the rules/requirements? Sorry for all the questions. I'm new to this.

 

It is Player vs Player, but its the NU (Never-used) tier of pokemon, which consist of this list.

As for what you need, you just need the Pokemon Online program, available here.

Our server is pokemon.w3t.me. Just add it to the advanced connection box at the bottom after you hit Go Online.

 

What are the level requirements? Or are there any?

 

All pokemon are level 100.

 

There are none. Pretty much everyone just uses lvl 100's I think... You don't hunt pokemon in PO, which I feel is kind of fail, but hey. To each their own.

You can build whatever team you like with any pokemon, any items, any moves that the pokemon can learn (be it naturally, a move tutor, or an HM/TM).
