First thing I noticed: Ringmaster is the voice for Captain Anderson in Mass Effect. Neat.

Second thing I noticed: Lead actor is Australian. Neat x2.

It looks like it could be a good watch, but so did Heroes. I'll give it a couple eps. It'll be something besides Burn Notice to watch this summer.

    Ehhh.

Networks rarely get superhero shows right, but I love Summer Glau, so I'll wait and see.

I love Summer Glau so I will definitely be checking this out, however I felt the same for Julie Benz ( Darla ) and I was not impressed with No Ordinary Family.

    Plus Bullet Tooth Tony.

Looks like it might be worthwhile. I actually thought it was a trailer to a movie at first. >_>

Does anyone know the intended premiere date?

Looks better than that shit Michael Chikilis is in, but still rather cheesy.

This. I think I'll just watch it online, if at all.

That does look good. Has a date been set yet?
No Ordinary Family isn't as good as I was hoping but it was expected to be honest.

I don't think so. Everywhere I've searched just says '2011'.
It does look like it could be fun though.

When I first heard about this, I was mainly interested in it for Summer Glau, but after watching it I've got to say it looks pretty cool. Cheesy as hell, but in a good way.

Summer Glau is in it. Will be awesome and won't last more than two seasons.

Why doesn't the kid recognize his dad's voice? Looks like it could be entertaining, but there'll probably be other things that I'd rather do/watch.

Some reviews have actually slated it. Have a look around.

    Finished watching it.

I liked it. It was slightly cheesy but when we are talking about superheroes and super villains, it's expected.

A few good one liners and Max is growing on me.

Unfortunately I'm already sensing that Orwell is Chess's daughter or something.

It's a good start but as we all know pilots sometimes win compared to the rest of the season.

This could easily turn into No ordinary Family or Heroes. Strong starts and lack lustre everything else.

    Status: Optimisticly pleased.

I've watched the Pilot. Waiting for Tarot to load.

I want to like this. I really do. And for the most part, I do. But a couple things really bugged me about the pilot.

Faraday turning up at his funeral was terrible. It's an overused scene, but by itself it's bearable. What killed it for me was that Faraday was hiding behind a tree probably 10 meters from his wife.

A lot of scenes were horribly disjointed which caused a few wtf moments. For example, when Orwell and Faraday first met. At the end of this scene we jumped from Faraday knocking down Orwell and a few seconds on somewhat amusing dialogue into Orwell taking Faraday to her hideout. Some key interaction was skipped over there. Orwell's this big secretive vigilante. She shouldn't be trusting someone to take to her hideout just like that.

Edit: Oh, and unnecessary flashbacks. Not even 5min after meeting the Ark CEO, he's revealed to be Chess. We did not need a flashback to that earlier meeting. Same with the tattoo in the second episode.

Since the writer for the first two episodes is fairly new, some of these issues may be due to inexperience. Hope to see the show improve in the next few episodes.

Edit: Second episode wasn't crash hot. Giving it a couple more episodes for the writers to get used to the scenario, otherwise I'll pass on it.

Meh. It lost me with the pilot. Wholly unimpressive, hit every action-movie cliche there is, did absolutely nothing new or interesting with the superhero genre. They're banking on Summer Glau's geek cred to carry this series, and it ain't gonna work.
