If anything, I'm just disappointed that the series is continuing from here. This would have been a good enough final chapter. I guess something like that doesn't matter when there might be a little more money to be squeezed from it though...

 

Seems like what happened to DB/DBZ is what's going to/may be happen/ing here. IE, Akiro Toriyama did not want to continue past about the Freeza arc, Goku becoming super Saiyan was supposed to be synonymous with Goku becoming God/ Sun Wukong of Journey to the West gaining Buddhahood/Defeating the armies of the gods and seizing the title of Great Sage, Equal of all Gods/of Heaven. His producers/weekly shonen jump managed to convince him to do the Cell arc, and then the Buu arc. After that, he finally got the ability to actually quit doing the fucking series and go on to something else.

Of course in terms of chapter count, bleach eclipsed DB/DBZ awhile ago, a LONG while ago.

 

I'd agree if not for the fact that unlike the Freeza arc in DB, the last arc in Bleach didn't answer many important questions and because of that it didn't really look like the end of the series (for example - what's the deal with Isshin?).

 

Oh yeah I just caught something, unless he was talking off camara, the 91st binding spell Urahara used EDIT CLARIFICATION: to seal Aizen the last time was at, 1/5 the power, I believe they say at some point. Along with the fact that most high level Kidou is supposed to be uncontrollable without the incantation. Along with the fact that it was probably actually two or three 91st level binding spells cast at once. Wow, that was kind of a stealth-awesome that is just now catching up with me.

Considering Kubo has outright admitted he uses plotkai(ass pulls) as a freeform writing technique that may or may not be answered eventually.

 

He also said that he was planning an Isshin flashback arc after the Hueco Mundo arc was over.

 

It's possible, will we get any answers from it, maybe, maybe not, will it be satisfactory, most likely not. Though the series has been on a steady incline the past 2 months or so. So it's possible.

Kubo writes by the seat of his pants, with very little in the way of a set plot for an Arc.

As far as what will happen after the break. Well anything is possible, given what Kubo has said, anywhere from a 10,000 year time skip with all new people, to 2 month timeskip and a focus upon Ichigo's friends. After all, Ichigo gave up his powers, his friends, though their powers were the result of him, are not bound to him like that. He's also said something about a Urahara arc and a Youroichi arc.

Kubo is a massive cockteasing troll in regards to Bleach. We don't know what will happen. You forget from what he's revealed of his original plans, Aizen would have died in SS arc, or shortly there after. Orihime would have died from her hollow father, and stuck around to help/annoy Ichigo. Rukia took a massively differing role, being an actual GF, compared to the shiptease he engages in now.

New character designs look kinda interesting. I flipped my lid when I first saw Yuzu. Isshin is still a BAWSE tho, so...

 

A time skip and semi-reboot? I like.

 

That was the first time in the entire series that I thought that Tatsuki looked good. That hairstyle sure fits her. Karin is looking snappy, too.

As for the content... I hate the new guys face alredy so much. Also, "Lost Shinigami Representative Badge Arc"? Sounds like boring filler if I've ever heard one.

 

So, currently taking bets. Restore Power arc or Rescue arc?

Filler arc followed by a rescue arc in which Ichigo restores his power.

Quite a long time-skip, but at least when we see old faces again, many thing could be changed in their lives. What I wonder is when we will see flashback to father-son talk between Ichigo and Isshin, because I don't believe he didn't ask his dad about shinigami stuff and things that Aizen started to tell him before he was interrupted by Kurosaki Sr.

 

I dunno, 17 months? That's not that long of a timeskip. Still, I'm loving the callbacks to early Bleach.

The end was pretty dumb, though. "Lost badge retrieval"? Really...? =|

 

As the calm after the storm, this was a very satisfying chapter. Well-lengthed timeskip, new looks, and the beginning of a new plot.

Looks like it's gonna be a soft start into the new shit.

But honestly, how big and bad can the new 'Big Baddy' really be after Aizen?

 

If I remember correctly, Kubo said there was going to be a short arc followed by another long one, so we're not really going into the thick of it yet. This arc is just going to be about retrieving Ichigo's lost powersbadge.

Actually kinda fitting, come to think of it.

 

It felt pretty refreshing I think. I'm looking forward to a fresh start.

 

This time around it's Ichigo's turn to be the helpless kidnapee :awesome

And does anyone else find it strange that Ryuken did absolutely nothing in the FKT arc or even cropped up once when Aizen and Gin were sauntering around the real deal?

 

He's not so helpless though.

I'm sure there are tons of new fanfics being written using this time skip as a beginning.

 

I hope there is at least one good story in that crop. There is a serious lack of quality Bleach stories in the fandom.
