Tonight's episode was pretty good. Not as good as last weeks, but enjoyable nonetheless.

    Twilight bashing is always fun.

I thought it was a great episode.

I laughed out loud when the scene came on and Dean was watching her sleep after his previous comment.

Cure for being a vampire isn't too out there, since it's only before any human blood is drunk, and from we've seen, that has to be right after the turning happens.

The betrayal Dean must have felt was huge, and I'm surprised he didn't lash out.

I always *liked* Sam. Even during S4, I had faith in his choices at first, then I mostly felt pity. This is the first time I've ever wanted Sam to die. Christ, he needs a horsewhipping for that. I keep hoping that he actually has a plan for the way he's treating Dean - that Sam's behaviour isn't callous manipulation but rather steps in a sincere attempt to do his brother good.

Much as I hate Twilight, there was too much bashing. It got boring.

That recipe needs to be published globally. Although I'm confident that Dean and Sam got it to Bobby.

Super strength Sam. And Super Speed, too. Took on a vampire mano-o-mano, so to speak, and took off its head in one blow.

Girl moment - that stained-glass ceiling was gorgeous.

As much as Sam's douchebaggery in this episode was annoying and worrying at the same time, it didn't make me as mad as Samuel's comment saying, upon discovering that Dean had annihilated a shitload of vampires by himself, that "Dean did have some Campbell blood in him after all"

Fuck him man, who is he to think that he is the top dog of the hunters? It was said over and over that John Winchester, by numerous sources nonetheless, was the best Hunter. Dean and Sam, after going through everything they did and facing everything they have come probably somewhat close.

And than comes this old redneck and looks down on Dean like that.

Winchester>>>>>>>>>Campbell. I want to see Dean and Bobby kill all of the Campbell's. Full out slaughter. Maybe even a bit of holy smiting, courtesy of Cas.

Enough Internet rage, as to the episode, it wasn't bad. Not as good as the previous two but not bad either. The Twilight jokes were funny and the fact that vampires exploited the vampire trend was a rather nice touch.

    Finally.

I was expecting a big emo moment at the end there, but luckily it went the way it should of gone down.

Oh wow. Really looking forward to the rest of the season now. Last scene was RIGHTEOUS.

Finally explains everything about Sam, but I was so sure Crowley wasn't being snarky when he called him Luce.

    Sam's a ginger now!

Notice that Sam didn't even try to fight back? I lost count at about 12 hits. Sam had enough time - fast enough reflexes (he took out a vampire) and strength (he cut off the vamp's head with one blow) to at least try to protect himself.

    and the previews!
Now THAT is going to excite some discussion.

Loved the episode although I am a bit miffed that they can kill gods. i mean, if the gods are alive, how did anybody find out how to kill them? Or do the gods come back to the living after a while?

I'm pretty sure that that's a simple plot hole. Way back when, scientific method was little more than rumor and theory. Although it would be interesting if Gabriel was resurrected. Cheap and cheezy, but interesting.

If you remember way back in one of the middle seasons there were two pagan gods that Sam and Dean killed; the ones that acted like a stereotypical old, happily married couple that just happened to feast on humans once a year. Plus the tree god and what have you. As for how to kill them; could be that these sort of creatures follow certain rules as to how they react to certain items so that you can 'guess' as to what would work on them, or it could be part of the lore from ancient times, or it could just be that they take the antithesis of said god and prod them with it.

Only that they are all killed with very different and very specific things. The most recent one for example could only be killed with a (silver?) knife drenched in dog blood. That kind of stuff you don't really guess, it sounds more like experience either through trial and error or through some kind of deduction on how they behave around certain things.

I mean, if the gods never died, how do the books say that they can only be killed with x? It wold be more like an educated guess than anything else but they never behaved as if it was anything more than a strict manual on how to kill them.

So either the gods come back after some time Percy jackson style or it really is a plothole of some sorts.

I would like the "gods can never truly die but they can be momentarily killed" idea better, dunno if that is true or not.

Or there is something out there, like God, who revives the deities every few centuries or so.

Or the gods emerge from the beliefs of the humans, thus when those who record the lore do so they are in effect programming in a weak spot in their gods. Obviously not the case with God and the Angels, but the pagan gods didn't really go down as they were supposed to.

by the way, the horn that was mentioned in the newest episode, that has gone missing. Could it possibly this horn? The Horn of Israfel?

The series hardly touched islamic religion, Dschinns maybe one of the few times if I remember correctly but it is another archangel and since there was no apocalypse and some angels still want it the horn that sounds the apocalypse might be of interest.

Or it is the reason the Apocalypse didn't happen, because the horn was not sound?

Dunno, I kind of doubt it will be included but still, just wanted to throw that out there.

I thought it was weird that she's called and then just hangs around for awhile causing havoc until she's killed. I always assumed you just killed these gods/goddeses in the mortal realm and that sends her back to where she was. Once she gets called back to this realm, another hunter has to kill her again.

If some random girl called this god down because a boy was cheating on her, it must have happened before, since the book didn't seem rare, and the ingredients weren't that uncommon. Meaning that if this goddess was already dead from the last time she was called down, she wouldn't have answered.

Maybe I'm just over thinking it, but I don't think killing her was permanent death, she just goes back to where she was.

Oh man, I totally hope not. I'd end up raging every time they changed a detail to suit the show's mythology and just ruin my enjoyment of the show.

Edit: Is it just me or would this cross over well with Supernatural?
