I still hate Rush. Egoistical bastard.

Greer and Eli are totally epic. Probably the best two characters.

 

Honestly I actually like Rush, he doesn't pretend to be anything he's not, he's a possibly sociopathic, egomaniacal, clever as fuck jackass. He along with Greer and Eli are my three favorite characters. Young used to be one but he's been getting on my nerves more and more every single episode lately.

 

Another very good episode for SGU, it seems to be hitting it's stride.

I don't like the ending with Ginn (hot redheaded Lucian Alliance chick), I want her to stay around.

 

If Stargate U gets a second season they may bring her back.

But it looks like she will either die next episode or be incapacitated for the rest of the season. She only gets 5 episodes this season while simeon gets 6.

It sucks cause Eli deserves some potential evil red head action.
Plus I was getting tired of the Perfection that is Cloe triangle they had going. It made Eli look, well pathetic.

 

Pretty good episode this week.

Ugh, I hate that actor that plays Simeon. He was in god mode on Heroes and I have a feeling he's going to have a lameass god mode episode here where he kills Eli's unfortunately named girlfriend. That last scene where he got to wander around unsupervised looking for trouble was making me rage. I just hope Eli gets to blow his head off in revenge :/

 

You know, I've been seeing that complaint around other forums and I gotta say: He had a guard earlier, who has been around since he got out. The guard was gone. Gee, maybe he slipped/killed the guard or something? It's a lot more believable and logical than simply, "Everybody on the ship really is that stupid."

Good episode. I like Perry and I like Ginn, so of course both are going to die - two birds with one stone. Riley all over again. At least I'm reasonably sure Greer and Eli aren't going to die... Any time soon, of course.

 

Yes, I've seen the same complaints. I myself assumed he gave his guard the slip or killed them. Why people think that they'd just be letting him walk about on his own when the entire episode he's had a guard following him around, I don't know.

And I think it'll be Rush that gets revenge on Simeon. Remember if he does kill Ginn and before they switch stones, he'll be killing Dr. Perry as well. And she is probably about the only person Rush truly cares about (after his wife's passing, at least). I think we'll be seeing one pissed off Rush in the next episode.

 

Holy shit, you're right. The communication stones bring up all sorts of complications. I guess it depends on exactly how they function (are consciousnesses actually transferred or just projected?).

 

By all accounts in previous canon - including an episode late last season - it seems like the consciousness is just swapped with the person on the other end, and they're linked - if one dies, so does the other (Hence my lame joke about killing two birds with one stone).

 

Indeed, as Teal'c would say. When Daniel and Vala were in the Ori galaxy and Vala died, so to did her body back on Earth.

So as long as they follow canon then bother Perry and Ginn will die.

 

Twenty bucks on them not killing both somehow. Got a feeling... The crew on the bridge were about to jump out of FTL at the end of the episode, and jumping out leads to the stone glitch. If that happened while Simeon was doing his thing... I don't know. Guess we'll see Tuesday.

 

Another good episode from SGU.

One of the best lines in all of Stargate from Greer too when Scott spotted some dinosaur looking thing on the planet.

"Is it something we can barbecue?"

 

Huh. The writers didn't immediately pull a fast one and try to resurrect one of the girls. I'm a little shocked. So... time travel later in the season, then?

But yeah, good episode. Greer's line was epicsauce, Rush going all John Wayne was great, and some cool little developments overall.

 

Maybe I missed it but were they vague on Ginn. They made it quite clear that the docs body was dead on the other side but that was expected by how frail they made her seem in the last body swap.

I'm anticipating something along the lines of shes actually alive but in coma, or she self resurects mysteriously containing the mind of the doc in the body of the Hot red head.

Then Eli will come to accept that he will be alone as Rush bones Ginns Body.

Then the M Night shamylamilamlam twist. Ginn is still in there somewhere and Ta da duel personality syndrome.

Its a formula people. Drama wise it has to happen.

 

I'm fairly certain they said that Ginn was dead, not close to dead or any other crap like that but dead dead.

I don't think they'll be resurrecting either of them anytime soon. Neither were major characters and the writers are trying to stay away from that sort of thing on SGU.

 

Yeah, I don't think it's in the cards for Eli to be happy in this show. I think the best case scenario would be that Ginn comes back like one of Rush's Head Sixes.

 

I don't get the Rush hate, srsly. He's awesome. Sure he can be a bit of a dick sometimes but lets face it. Young left him on that planet to die, why the hell should he tell anyone he'd cracked the master code? I wouldn't trust anyone on that ship either. Young especially.

And I hated this last episode. Psycho Simian just kills his guard, goes into a completely unguarded weapon-locker/room, grabs shitloads of stuff. Kills moar guards who all of a sudden are completely incompetent. Shoots Greer. Nearly kills James. He's the one dude who's been causing so much trouble already, threatining people all over... let's just let him continue walking about with his 1 guard. Not put him in isolation or anything no...

I knew it was gonna happen, so fucking predictable. As interesting this show is at times, it can be a real shitfest. Letting Chloe even near one of the consoles? Yeah, you've only had her in quarantine for a week or more for very good reasons... now all of a sudden its "Here, play with the ship. Have fun!"

I almost turned the episode off.

 

I like Rush too.

The 'armoury' wasn't unguarded, it had two soldiers standing guard outside of it. They weren't prepared when he suddenly popped out of the shadows and started shooting as nobody had warned them yet that Simeon was on the loose.

As for Chloe on the consoles, everybody on the bridge raised their doubts about if that was a good idea or not. And it wasn't totally without reason that they thought she might be able to help. After all Rush had been using her in the same way, he just hadn't let her on a console. The others did say something though so it's not as if they just let her do it with nobody wondering if it were a good idea or not.

They also got her out of there quickly once she went off doing something they weren't sure of.

As for Simeon only having one guard...well prior to that it had been almost like he had two as Greer seemed to spend a lot of time following him around too. Before this though there was the incident with Park and his speaking roughly to Ginn/Perry. Sure he wasn't a pleasant fellow, but they didn't have any reason to think him that much more dangerous than Varro or any of the others.

 

I'm pretty sure they avoided saying dead. But regardless of that, one of the writers/producers had this to say.
