I like that at last we know how exactly Impure World Resurrection works and why some characters weren't resurrected (yet, because after Kabuto comment I'm sure we will see Jiraya before it's over).

 

We will definitely be seeing Jiraiya and Shisui again, but I am more looking forward to what else Kabuto has up his sleeve. Kabuto mentioned he has some sort of trump card left. Also I would like to know what corpse suprised Madara when he allied with him. Anyways it was overall a nice chapter, but this impure world ressurection is really hax!

 

So what's this "risk", as Madara puts it, of the Impure Resurrection technique?

Also, fuck the Nidaime for ever inventing this stupid hax technique. Orochimaru improved upon it, but I doubt he would have come up with himself it if the Nidaime didn't first lay down its foundations.

 

But it also gives us interesting question - what kind of person was Nidaime to invent such a technique, not to mention what experiments he did to learn it.

 

That's what I thought as well. So the Nidaime might have been doing Orochimaru style experiments and/or human sacrifices, all the while fooling his brother and the rest of Kohoha and pretending to be some noble, upstanding ninja (and Hokage once his brother bit it)?

Well, he did sacrifice his life to save Hiruzen, Danzo, and the others on that team from Cloud during the first great ninja war, so he can't be all that bad of a person. But it's still pretty fucked that he invented a technique to bring the dead back to life using sacrifices and shit.


edit: to my above post regarding the "risk" of Impure Resurrection: I realized I skipped the last page of the chapter lol. The fact that there is absolutely no risk to the user is totally cheap. If you're going to use an uber hax technique, there has got to be some personal risk or downside associated with it; like the fact that using MS repeatedly deteriorates your eyesight over time.

 

Okay now that we know that Itachi and Nagato have their respective eyes back, Madara's forces just got a major boost. Itachi is invincible with Susanoo. And sure Konoha knows how to beat Nagato, but aside from Naruto who can do it? But oh wait, Nagato cant be killed. Yes they be stopped if they find some sort of inner peace, but Nagato's thing was he wanted peace. Itachi wanted to protect Sasuke and didnt want him to join Madara. So thats out for now.

It is nice to know how the technique works, but he pretty much just made Itachi and Nagato even more unstoppable than they were when they were alive, and they are only 2 of how ever many resurrected shinobi Kabuto brought back.

I have a major problem with one thing. If Itachi and Nagato have their eyes back, then how can Madara have Nagato's rinnegan and Sasuke have Itachi's eyes. These are very rare, very special eyes, 4 sets of MS(Itachi, Sasuke, Madara, Madara's brother) and 2 sets of Rinnegan(Nagato and the sage). Its just overkill for Itachi and Nagato to have their eyes back.

 

Kishimoto continues to fag Naruto up. I don't know why I read it anymore.

 

Maybe the Nidaime invented that technique to try and revive his brother? Either that or he wanted to interrogate someone after they die.

Also, Nagato and Itachi are going to need special care or they're going to do a Sasori and just decide not to fight.

Anyone get the feeling that Kabuto is lying about there being no risk and Madara is going to have to choke a bitch?

 

Considering that in the fight, or just prior to it between Tsunade and himself, Orochimaru called it his own technique.

I'm thinking that the Impure Resurrection being the second Hokage's technique is just some strange counter retcon junk from Kishi.

What does it serve other to show that the Tobirama was a bit of a douche who made forbidden techniques? Originally, with it as Oro's own tech, made perfect sense because it fit his whole theme of mega bastard. It was probably changed solely so that Kishi could have Madara recognize it.

 

All things considered, it's almost certain Kabuto is holding something back. I don't think even Kishimoto could have Kabuto and Madara spend the better part of a chapter talking about how broken the technique is without it having some kind of weakness.

 

Except that now that I think of it, both Hashirama and Tobirama recognized the technique when Orochimaru called them back, didn't they? Maybe it's something that Tobirama came up with before Hashirama died.

 

Or Tobirama had used it to bring back his brother but as it wasn't perfected he wasn't brought back 'fully', unlikely I know but just something that crossed my mind.

 

Or, you know, it could be nice to have an immortal, invincible army of super powerful slave ninja at your command when you're fighting the First and Second Great Ninja Wars. You don't have to be an asshole to think of these things, you just have to want to win.

Pretty much... Tobirama seemed like a good guy who was just a bit more shrewd than his brother. All you need to do is look at the things he did as a whole rather than in pieces- he might have created the impure ressurection but he also created the ninja academy to systematically churn out young, capable ninjas and the ANBU black ops.

Its surprising how small his legend is (in comparison to the other kages) considering what we now know of him. Perhaps the greatest ever water affinity, resurrection kinjutsu and space-time ninjutsu. He was awesome

 

I just had a thought: Has anyone, at any point said that the Nidaime had a practical version of the jutsu? That is, one that actually works? Because if not, it explains why Orochimaru dubbed it his own technique. Tobirama might have laid the foundations, but he was the one who completed it.

Also, Kabutomaru is definitely lying about there being no consequences. It's going to backfire on Madara one way or another.

This was a pretty good chapter all in all, and I can't wait to see the next chapter. I've gotten a good handful of ideas and concepts out of these last few chapters... :awesome

 

I have a problem with the explanation on the Impure Resurrection Technique.

In the battle between Orochimaru and the Third, if I remember correctly, because I can't find the manga, the Fourth was not resurrected because the Third stopped the jutsu, not because he was sealed in the death god stomach.
