Nah, he served his purpose. Put Alisha on the track to loving present Simon, which'll later transform him into the badass that was Superhoodie, not to mention leaving behind the wall of photos and stuff in his flat for later use.

The episode was great. Highlights were probably Simon's joke at the start (and Nathan's reaction) and Nathan getting the finger from Ollie's ghost.

I thought the medium powers were drug-induced?

No the drugs reverses their powers. So Nathan who normally is immortal, becomes mortal when he takes drugs. Simon becomes attention grabbing, And future travel is made possible.

Just started watching, currently on episode 2 and Nathans sex scene was :awesome, i actually thought he was manifesting some future sight or becoming slightly prophetic.

Another good episode, but it's the promise of next week's one that really looks to be an awesome end to the season.

Man, the amount of crazy sex that happens on this show, eh? De-aged senior citizens, gorillas transformed into guys, Simon getting some - I lol'd at Nathan being so impressed he gave him a hug. It's also nice how Alisha's character has come along - though her superslut days are fondly remembered, I like her more empathic side coming out, even if it just mostly towards Simon.

I didn't really understand the conclusion to the future Simon plot at all. If he came back in time to save them all, then realistically, he saved Alisha's life, costing him his own. But, Alisha and Simon hadn't gotten together yet, so how is it he came from a future where he and Alisha were together, if Alisha supposedly died way before that? Of course, she didn't die before that, because there is a film of her speaking about her powers. So did his past meddling affect the future, and if it did, how did he have a clock to the second needed to jump in front of the bullet? It's all very confusing. Unless Future Simon somehow was able to predict exactly what would change from him being in the past, and knew when he had to die.

Apparently you never really understood what JKR did within her timetravel sequence.

It's a circle that happened and never was altered. Simon knows what will happen (perhaps because Alisha had told him) and travels back in time to make it happen. She never was killed as Simon always appeared just in time to stop the bullet.

I understood what J.K. Rowling was preaching. I just disagreed with the theory completely. So the Simon we know will have to go in the past to die. No matter what? Sorry, but I don't see them killing off Simon so quickly.

I 100% disagree with the retarded time paradox bullshit theories, and I thought this series did as well, since Curtis' power is based on the ability to be able to go back and fix mistakes.

Kai Shek: Chill the fuck out and stop stressing over it. This is Misfits, not something serious and researched in depth.

So far this season has been nothing but epic. Btw, Kelly's tits were fantastic in this episode, pity about the rest of her.

One thing that has slightly annoyed me is the quick resolution to 2 plots. Them being Curtis's flashforward; I really felt that it would have been better to have that scene next season for a better audience payoff rather than having it so close to the episode that it occured in and not really giving much of a shit. And Alisha viewing those tapes of the future, still too recent tbh and would have been better used in the finale of season 3 rather than 2.

Finally caught up to both series.

    Thoughts:

Alisha jumping in the sack with Future-Simon was kinda way too quick and spoiled her for me. I was really digging the Curtis/Alisha relationship, and considering he went back through time to keep their relationship together and break up with Sam, you'd think he'd put more effort into making it work.

Future-Simon. Meh. Okay, he's a badass and everything, but I see very little that makes him better than Present-Simon, who I can at least figure out and know is slowly improving as a human being and a character.

Nathan. Fucking love Nathan. He actually reminds me of a flatmate who's from Surrey, except Nathan seems more tolerable in terms of his jokes and jibes.

Best show I've watched recently, easily. This is just too awesome, and I'm glad that they're going through with a 3rd season.

Anybody who dislikes this is fucked in the head.

Anyone else getting kinda frustrated that for every step they take forward they seem to take two backward. I really like this show but the lack of progression is starting to get to me.

They've progressed pretty far, I think. This was the only episode really that has been undone - and it still progressed everyone's character. Plus, interesting that that healer girl is still alive.

Christmas special? Interesting. Do we know if there's a third season confirmed?

Not really, enembee. If it was an every week thing, I'd be sure to rage, but this was a good "what-if" episode that still hints some things - healer girl's out there and so is the publicist woman, so all it would take would be another guy like Lactomancer guy to start it all off, but end it in a different way... though I don't think that'll totally happen yet.

Besides, after the breakneck Simon/Alisha thing, taking a little time to build stuff up and focus on lives beyond the Community Centre, yet still together or something, is not a bad thing. Making them famous and rich would've been a series-ending move, in my opinion. Not much they could do with the storyline.

But, if season three (I hope it happens, anyway) begins with all of them getting arrested or something in a way that puts them back into the Community Centre, then I might agree with you about the backtracking.

Oh, and Iwan Rheon is a fantastic actor. I could literally feel the difference between him and Future!Simon with his big scene with Alisha.

Great season. Great show. Can't wait for the Christmas Special.

    Word.

I liked the episode, but this is looking more and more plot-holey as it goes on. Didn't future-Simon have the footage of Alisha's TV interview (in her orange jumpsuit)? How did he get that if it didn't happen?

I'm pretty sure this isn't the first to come up (e.g. how are people supposed to simply believe that Curtis can rewind time?), and perfect plot construction isn't why I'm watching this, but I'm getting confused.

    Still awesome though.

I don't know about the rest of your questions but in the case of people believing Curtis, I believe its due to the fact that he knows some things that he wouldn't be able to know otherwise. Like Tony being a few seconds away from killing them (first episode).

I think his question was targeted more to the people outside when they got famous, as well as the woman who was running the company. How come he was joined in the group when there was no real proof that he could do what he could do. Kind of like Nathan's power. There wasn't any real proof until he was willing to kill himself. I think the company knew it was all of them, or none of them, so put up with Curtis' questionable power, and then made Nathan prove his own.

A few great lines in this show, but I too was a little dissapointed that nothing really progressed.
