This is a thread about eye color, you brought up Maggie Smith, and I happened across this video with a song called "Her Eyes." It was funnier to me at the time I posted it. Whatever.

 

A couple of years ago, I think it was IP82 and I kicking around a bizarre plot bunny. Harry really died as an infant, but Dumbledore either was Dr. Frankenstein or had read his works. He used the Elixir of Life to keep Necro Harry running. After DD dies in HBP, Harry learns all this from Aberforth (Igor) when Harry gets really sick and discovers that the two "brothers" had been replacing body parts on Harry as they wore out.

The punchline was Aberforth saying, "Of course you have your mother's eyes! Who do you think put 'em in you?"

 

You need to post the whole idea in the plot bunny thread.

 

That could be a really epic fic. Pity you didn't write it, even as a oneshot. Even more pity that IP82 doesn't write fics anymore.

 

I'll look around and see if I can find it. It has some potential as a one shot.

 

Wait...wouldn't that mean that Harry would be able to 'upgrade' his physical body, too? Like, if he wanted a well defined set of athletic arms or legs...

 

I dunno. IMO a fic like that would be incomplete without this kind of line:

"God, what a mess," Aberforth said, with what for him was an unusual amount of pity.

"Not to worry, not to worry," Dumbledore replied cheerfully. "We can rebuild him. Make him faster. Stronger. Erm...less rotten."
