No way I can knock out anything by the end of the month. Too busy. I'm still kicking around some ideas for the Dark Arts contest though. And I'll throw my hat in the judges ring as well.

@Tehan: It's more about getting a bunch Dark Arts fics in the works of a certain calibre, not how long it takes to knock out a few thousand words. That's what spurred Pers' suggestion for a contest in the first place, and why I've been such a pain in the arse in this thread.

And every chapter of it took no more'n a day to write. Just goes to prove my point: if you got the story in you, you don't need more'n a couple days, let alone a fortnight. If you don't, trying to extend the deadline in the hope that inspiration will strike in the extra time is stupid.

I don't have too much time to write, but I do have enough to read, especially when there's real promise of some great stories.

 

Okay, I shall work on my oneshot then for this month. Hopefully I can get it done, maybe Monday as I don't have school... Hopefully my work does not know this and does not ask me to work.

 

So what exactly are the rules for this thing if any? Have they been listed somewhere? I assume we're not allowed to post to WbA, but are we allowed to recruit a beta-reader?
