The way I heard it, the people at Gainax were a little out of it after making the depressing mindscrew that is Evangelion, so they did FLCL as a catharsis.

Speaking of which, I kind of like fics like Catharsis and Wastelands of Time, because they're a lot like FLCL.

 

Sorry if I came on as a bit of an ass. No, I'm definately not the author. I read a good portion of the reviews for Letters and when I came across that particular review. Thought about this particular thread and decided to share it with you.

The way I heard it, the people at Gainax wanted to test a bunch of new animation techniques/technology, and did so they made FLCL. That would be one of the reasons why they use so many different styles in it.

Of course, I don't so much care why they did it, I'm just glad they did do it.

This makes me wonder; how many people out there only read fanfiction when they're high?

 

HOW do people read when they're high? I can't even string two thoughts together usually. I'd probably forget what or why I was even reading, lol.
