Edit2: I threw all my eggs (16) in there and had about 6 chickens...I went underneath the structure to the collection point I set up and went afk for 20 minutes. All my chickens despawned. FML.

Someone give me some ideas wtf to do with the floors of my Citadel Was thinking 3, going to wind up with like 7 or 8 walkable levels.

With Hey0's hMod, its fairly simple... There are a few chest protection plug-ins, and two or three decent plug-ins to prevent people fucking with shit.

Since I ditched bukkit, those two got trashed. There are currently five kits:

Tools, which have diamond pick, shovel, axe, and hoe.
Farmer, which has 64 dirt blocks, 64 saplings, 50 torches, and 128 seeds. (Can only be used once every ~5 minutes)
buildblks, which has 448 cobblestone, wood, glass, and brick wall blocks. (Can only be used once every ~10 minutes)
TNT, because Im a nice guy, you can has 10 TNT blocks every ~4 hours.
And Battle which has all diamond armor and sword, plus a bow and 128 arrows. Also one every ~4 hours.

Edit: Also to prevent loss of data, auto-backups every six hours. Auto-restart every 4 to prevent lag.

 

We now have our very own execution platform.

With Fire.

And no escape.

 

It seems I've been away too long. Does TNT/reddust work properly in multiplayer now? If so I will join and (re)make my fortress.

 

Hm... So is there any space left in the town or will I have to be an outsider?

I got Minecraft a few weeks ago and have been thinking about trying Multiplayer. Got on for a couple minutes last night as Dmoui before my connection got screwed up. Pretty impressive.

 

Anyone know how I can fix this?

I dunno about the town, I built all my stuff outside of it, b/c I wanted to have space to do whatever I wanted to. Lutris built a badass castle on the road on the way to my place, plenty of space off to the side of my citadel or tower, just becareful if you do downwards b/c I got a giant quarry there, lol.

 

There's space. We're not done enclosing the town with the wall yet, so you just have to pick a spot nobody's building anything around and you're fine.

TNT, not so much, but redstone works fine. The execution platform is basically a platform made of switches that activate a flaming barrage of arrows from a wall of dispensers. Props to Jon.

I was looking at this PvP server co-run by the guy who does one of my favorite Minecraft Lets Play series, and it actually brought up some hilarious ideas.

Basically, it's a pvp server with a 'sanctuary' spawn zone with a massive town, but outside of it people can gank you and steal your shit all they want, so people make big ass guilds and crap with Obsidium defenses.

I just think it would be awesome to say, have a dummy storage room in your base that, when accessed, would set off all the hidden TNT underneath the floor. Karma death for the win.

 

Right, so there seems to be a bit of confusion on making portals with my current plugin, so I figure I'd post here with some basic directions.

First your shape: X = Obsidian block. _ = Black space. The center must be empty, but the corners don't matter.

Your sign will be set up like such:

Line One: The name of this gate. "Goofytiem", for example.
Line Two: Destination Name. "No, daddy, no!" for example.
Line Three: Network name. More below.
Line Four:Optionally you may place A or H here. H makes the gate hidden so that only admins may see it. Its best to just leave this one blank.

So if I want "goofytiem" to travel to "no, daddy, no!":

On Network Names: the two gates must be on the same network. Jabroni, in this case. Multiple gates on one network will allow you to rightclick the wooden sign to list different destinations. To link multiple gates, omit the second line, and only put the first and third.

Yo dog I herd you like spheres, so I put a air sphere, inside a stone sphere, inside an air sphere, wrapped that bitch up in lava, then put it inside a glass sphere. End result from 10 blocks up? A bad ass eyeball.

It's submerged in the water near my citadel and Lutris' waterfall, just off the side of the boardwalk. Glowstones, water , glass layer, lava layer, glass layer, stone layer. Inside the stone sphere it's hollow, with the top floor being lava inside the sphere, then glass, then 2 rooms leading to the bottom of the sphere, which lead all the way to the bottom of my floating citadel. Used restone dust on the top to give it that pattern. Center hole is water to ride down through the lava to the bottom floor.

 

Midknight. Build me a fortress worthy of Mordor!

 

Damnit, now I have to take that eyeball and turn it vertically and stick it atop a massive tower. There's a few days gone right there, lol.

Here's some other stuff I've been working on. This is what I call Citadel, massive floating tower, on top of a giant hole in the ground/quarry. The bottom of the quarry has an entry to my sphere
