You know how you can right click the icons on your taskbar to interact with it(like opening a new window on Chrome, or launching something from Steam)? Well, mine is not working any longer. I tried to disable aero and get it running again but that didn't change anything either...

Anyone has any tips I could try? This is really annoying, especially since I got into the habit of using it all the time.

 

This seems really basic, but have you tried restarting your computer?

 

I'm not that stupid. That's been going on for a couple months at least, and I try to turn off my computer(instead of hibernating it) every week or so. My guess is that some configuration file got messed up somehow but I'm not crazy enough mess up every .ini file in windows folder, or playing around with the register...

I'm waiting till my friend arrives so I can use his external HD so I can do that. I tried what else you guys said and it didn't work so now that I have an excuse to format my notebook I'll do so.

This thing is still annoying though.
