I also made the mistake of playing classic, thinking it would give me some idea of what Minecraft was all about. Honestly, don't bother. They're practically different games.

I'm pretty sure that's the base texture pack with the Better Light/Grass mod, which I also use. Combined with an HD texture pack, it really enhances the game.

It's not a texture pack, it's BetterLight which used to be called Ambient Occlusion.

I used to use it all the time, but the current version tints the sides of grass blocks green. :facepalm

Yeah I've mentioned it before, you need to get the Java 3d for the 3d viewer to work, and make sure you're using the full java install, not the stuff the browser installs. It's basic, and a bit annoying to use with 3d mode, but it's functional. I wish it'd let me build in real time, instead of doing it vertical slice by vertical slice.

 

I just bought the game, but I am not quite clear on how to get into the DLP server. From the earlier posts it seems someone needs my user name. It is the same as here, disturbed27. But I have no idea how to get on once you add my name to the list. Help someone, please?

Its a "dungeon" with a chest on the top. Go through all 8 levels, and open the chest and the tower vanishes, leaving behind the eye.

So it's a 300mb world made over 3 month by thousands of individuals.

Extract it and rename the folder to world [number 1-5] and replace that world folder.

To find your minecraft saves,

run

%appdata%

You should see a folder called ".minecraft" then go to saves and there should be 5 of your worlds for single player.

A mod for more creatures like werewolves, flying birds, and sharks. There's even flying mounts your can breed and tame.

 

This is clearly being added to Hogwarts. Werewolves in the forest? Yes please.

 

I'm sorry, sir, but your Werewolves in the Forest card has been declined. Mo' Creatures, this plugin, does not work for multiplayer servers, so I can set up a download of the map once its finished and you can add it to your singleplayer worlds, but no Multiplayers.

 

Darn and blast. Oh well, we have enough to worry about with the castle itself.
