I think Taure or somebody had mentioned how the more god-like pokemon would be less game-like, and more like a force of nature - and that was done perfectly with Zapdos.

Because yeahfuckingright a Master Ball would work on it, much less would I want to carry that kind of power in my pocket.

The way 50 has brought all of these pokemon down to earth is awesome. Of course they bleed after certain attacks; of course bug-types go splat; of course a snorlax is incredibly dangerous, and not some running gag sweatdrop character. They're little things, but encompass everything about the series that put me off it in the first place.

I imagine that if someone was inspired to follow pokemon after reading this fic, they'd be sorely disappointed lol. Unless this is close to the manga-verse...?

Yeah, I've read some of the earlier Manga and pokemon are just chopped to bits left right and centre. Dunno if they softened it up at all.

 

Well that's fucked up; here I thought 50Caliberchaos actually put on a great real spin to the game.

IIRC, Taure was the one who argued the opposite; that tha author had consistently toned down the retarded shit from the pokedex (Like charizard melting rocks) and would do the same with the legendaries.

That said, I agree completely. Awesome story is awesome. Awesome chapter is awesome, and awsome fucking Zapdos is fucking awesome.

Sabrina happens to be one of my favorite characters from the Pokemon series, I wish we got to see more of her. Hopefully she'll play a bigger role in this story, though going for an Ash/Sabrina match up is probably pushing it.

Hey folks, 50 here,
I've got a bit of a cry for help, since FFnet is refusing to reply or fix anything. When I first posted chapter 27 something apparently went wrong, as some of the text from the story was deleted leaving a few sentences making no sense. When I tried to go in and replace the chapter with the correct version, I couldn't access the page to add/remove/replace chapters, getting only an error report page with a link to send FFnet an apparently useless error report. Now I can't edit/update any of the stories on my page. I just keep getting the same error page.
Clearing cookies has no effect, using different computers has no effect, changing my flipping IP address has no effect, and support@fanfiction.com has not responded to any of the dozens of reports I've sent through various means.
Anyone know how/if this can be corrected from my side?

Kind of a filler chapter, although Claire's characterization was interesting to read. It really does seem to be devolving into an all-out four-sided war at this point. Kanto (with the threat of the rest of the E4 stepping in), Johto/Orange/Hoenn/Orre, the Rockets, and who knows what Mewtwo's planning.

Elm had a definite advantage in the strength of his pokemon though. I don't know if it's cause Oak's were all first gen or what, but they seemed more run of the mill than Elm's.

 

This would never have happened if Oak had used a Shuckle.
