Is it possible to trade with past games before national dex?

 

Only for the event legends needed for the Zorua/rk events.

EDIT: For clarification, I don't know when you get the national dex, but you can't use previous gen pokemon before the E4.

You will only be able to access Unova Region pokemon until you beat the storyline- that is, beat the E4, take down Team Plasma, and watch the ending credits. Which, I might add, are fucking awesome. Like. Really. Awesome.

Once you do that, you'll unlock the national dex, and you'll also be able to access a previously un-accessible area of the map (the three cities in the eastern portion of the map), where pokemon from previous gens appear in the wild. You'll also be able to access the Poke Shifter (just west of Black City/White Forest), which will allow you to port pokemon over from previous DS pokemon games. You'll need another DS to do this, though. Items are non-importable, as a sidenote.

Otherwise, the Poke Shifter and the aforementioned movie-only legendary trades are the only ways to interact with previous gens.

 

Pokerus seems a lot easier to catch this time around. All my main party pretty much has it.

Also, what the hell is with trainers suddenly having pokemon at level 60+ once you beat the E4? I went on the route towards Black City and had my team pretty much destroyed by a level 65 Rapidash. Do not want grinding.

As much as I was annoyed by N's sudden appearances; you have to admit his exit had style.

 

Really? Seratin had Pokerus at around the second gym too. Nobody I know who bought the Japanese version caught it naturally though. I CALL WESTERN BIAS.

But yeah. If you don't want to grind, the easy thing to do would be to port pokemon from previous games over.

Also, you're not Champion until you find the Seven Sages and go back to the E4 again (lev. 70+), and finally beat the true Champion (lev. 75+).

This gen is truly built for lv50 flat battles, since the larger the level difference, the more exp. your pokemon gets per battle, and the league has 70+ level pokes, and wild 60+ level pokemon exist in the wild.

 

Just started playing my copy of white. I has question. Are the main 3 characters supposed to be 10 years old? Cuz Bianca has boobies.

Ah. I wasn't going to use my starter, cuz I don't like the new starters, but then I named it SolidSnake, so I have to use it.

 

Ditch it anyways. Snivy's line is not very good.

 

Dream world Snivy's final evo is the shit however, well, among grass starters anyways.

 

Ehn. I still only have four poke's that I'm using. (plus a trippy-eyed prairie-dog that I put in the computer)

 

I wish I had Dream World Snivy. Would make me feel less bad about using him.
