Also you can't have any pokemon from the Uber tier in the DPP metagame.

Are we playing the version with team preview? Hopefully not, it ruins my strategy somewhat.

Doesn't matter. Matches are best out of 3- if you rely too much on a single strategy, it'll be that much easier to counter in the second and/or third battles.

It does matter though if you can switch your lead -- or can you switch them between rounds regardless?

    Is it in the rules?

    Think about it. :/

Well, apparently it isn't in the rules. Does that mean I can use several teams, or is that another dumb newb question?

You're submitting your teams for a reason. So you don't change pokemon or moves mid-tournament.

I don't care what order you use your pokemon in.

Egads, why is this so hard to understand? D8

I'm just here showing off some pokemon you should all be having in your teams. Carry on with your day. :3

Sandstorm teams got a great boost this Gen, but I seriously doubt such a team would win the tournament. Scrafty is good on just about any team, though.

    ... Uh. >.>

I'm on vacation, and I kind of sort of forgot about the tournament. As is, I'm a bit busy, so you'll have to count me out of this one.

    I sorry ._.

SS teams are really strong, but more than 2 gen1-4 pokemon are needed to fill out the team (imo)

Tyranitar/Magnezone or Heatran for the two out of Gen 5 quota.

    Excadrill/Bisharp/Seismitoad/Golurk

Would have been my choice. No sure if I would have been raped or not with that team.

Since Menace is sitting out, I'll let you in if you can get your team to me in the next 24 hours.

Honestly, I just want to get started. One more team. Just one more. D8

I'd go with either Tyranitar, Heatran, Excadril, Reuniclus, Landorus and Terakion for an offensive SS team, or Hippowdon, Gliscor, Nattoeri, Excadril, Reuniclus, burungeru for a more defensive SS team.

    Nope. Not too late.

    WHICH MEANS. 8D

    Tournament's on, bitches.

    TOURNAMENT'S FUCKING ON, BITCHES.

The server's back up at pokemon.w3t.me, so we can have our battles in privacy. Remember to turn on Freeze, Sleep, Item, Species, and OHKO clauses when challenging. Here's the ladder for the first round. Remember- after this first round, you'll be getting PMs from me notifying you of your battles, as well as have updates in the thread.

Every match is won by best out of 3 battles- so if at all possible (do it or you're a dead cunt), report the outcomes once you're done with each match (X won against Y, two to one, etc.), and post here so we have an official record.

    Please don't post battle logs.

So go on and contact your opponents to set up convenient times, and get crackin'.

    Good luck to you all.

I'll update the bracket when all matches are finished for every round. Next bracket update will be when everybody's finished with Round 1.

Grubdubdub vs. ChaosGuy 2-0. It was a good game, and a good start for me :)

Beat Poytin 2-1, the wins on either side being very damn close. Awesome matches all 'round, and the 3 battle thing made us both a bit more flexible with strategies because we knew what to expect (Like, for example, that a Pokemon of mine has Sturdy, so using Final Gambit on it won't kill it at full health, so in the next battle, Poytin chose a different tack, and I reacted differently). Fun fun.
