He could be the governor of Utah, he's got more than enough intelligence for that position.

Execpt he's smart enough not to be mormon, which is kinda a deal breaker.

That said, wherever he ends up, he'll probably do at least as good of a job as whoever the hell is in charge now.

WTF is up with one of the kids wearing a helmet? Is that a thing now, or was the kid just roller-blading before he got in the car?

Some small kids have slightly misshapen heads and need molding helmets to correct this. I don't know if that's the case for this kid, though.

There's not enough money in the world to convince me to be the Governor of New Jersey. In order to do that, I would have to live in New Jersey.

    *shudders*

Give that kid 10 million in campaign cash and 20 million in independent expenditures and he could be the next Chris Christie though.

His mother clearly subscribes to the ridiculous belief that he does not possess the education to become governor.

I find this to be insulting to the great Ahnol Schwazenegoo.

How the fuck does Disney have a copyright claim to that?!

I don't know. There's no background music playing, so it's not like they're violating the Lion King sing-a-long copyright or something. I though it might have been an over-reaction to the Kindergarten Cop quote, but from what I can tell, Disney don't have rights to that movie. Kindergarten Cop was produced by Imagine Entertainment and Universal Pictures. I don't think either of them are owned by Disney.

A copy of the video can still be seen here, though perhaps not for long: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xKQsmqTWpI

The kid is Walt Disney's great great grandson and they can't let anyone know that they're slowly grooming him to take over the world.

The copyright claim probably comes from this video being featured on America's Funniest Home Videos, which is produced by ABC, which is owned by Disney. That's the only connection I've found. I don't know whether the youtube vids came from the AFHV airing or independently the parents.

Chris Christie found out about this video after it went viral, and decided to make the kid the Governor for a day. It's hard not to be cynical about politics when news organisations lap this stuff up as being newsworthy.

Pretty sure clips on AFV aren't copyrighted by Disney, since those videos are on youtube all the time with no action. I'm not sure if it would be illegal even if it was: I'm not sure how long a video clip has to be before it can't be used without permission in the US, but I think I heard three minutes once. I know that thirty seconds of audio from a song is the maximum, but it's not the same thing.

Maybe a troll working for Disney sent an email for teh lulz and youtube bowed on reflex?

It sounds like you have to transfer all "ownership rights" to AFHV.

There's a bit right near the beginning which reads:

    Emphasis mine.

Damn, they really covered their asses there...but I have found a loophole! What if there were a technology devised by an alien race now or in the past? This clause only restricts what we currently know about or what may be created in the future.

Ah, yes. That pesky ancient alien artifact loophole. It's the bane of contract lawyers everywhere. That AFHV lawyer will rue the day that we uncover the Ancient/Prothean/Forerunner tech that allows us to circumvent his ironclad legalese! RUE IT!

Could probably make a case for 'hereafter devised' meaning a technology invented by a ghost, but the best bet is alternate dimensions.

    Nevertheless, fuck Disney.
