A nice piece of literature, revolving around the chance meeting of Peter Parker with one of the people who saw him unmasked. Fluffy but enjoyable, and a bit of a D'Awwwww fic. Worth a read. 4/5, leaning towards 5/5

Did you find this on Nonjon's favorites?

I remember finding it a while back on his page, and I enjoyed it a lot. 4/5.

Huh, for some reason I thought this was already in here, or at least discussed somewhere on this forum. Awesome fic, 4.5/5 rounding up.

I'd give it a 4.75 at least. One of the best pieces of writing I've seen. Period.

Huh. I read this years ago, I'd forgotten it. Great story, in pretty much every respect. The last chapter is a little sappy for my tastes, but that's only a minor quibble. 4/5, easy.

Actually, while I remember reading a fic with the same premise from someone's (could have been nonjon's) favorites, this isn't the same fic I read. It's actually a completely fic. If you, or anyone else, has assumed it to be that, you might want to take a second look.

For reference, here's the one I originally found (and what I was thinking I'd be re-reading when I opened this topic) http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2026559/1/Strangers_on_a_Train

I dunno, I think Just Another Face On The Train is way better, imo. The dialogue in this seems a bit forced, and the flow just isn't as good. Still, interesting story. Maybe if I had read it first I would appreciate it more.

Ah, I should have posted yesterday after reading, but I read it right before going to sleep so...

Anyway, it was a lovely little story, and it was interesting to see the main character's behavior in her attempt to support him as best as she as able.(that seems like a suitably vague description)

All told, it was rather well contained, although there's just a little something... such that I think I'll go ahead and give it a four out of five.

Excellent read. I rarely give out 5/5, but this one hits all of the right points.

I remember this from a few years ago. It's one of the only three Spiderman fics worth reading that I've found, including Strangers on a Train. 4/5 for being a fun read.

It's Office Hours by tartanshell on LJ. It's a crossover with X-Men movieverse, where Beast is one of Peter's professors. Sequel's linked at the bottom, which is just as good, but starts to branch out into Daredevil, Fantastic Four, etc.

I'm noticing a distinct lack of:

Here's a nice, feel-good kind of story. It certainly isn't the kind of action or adventure I typically enjoy, but it's good enough that I've read it a few times over the years.

It takes one of the Spiderman's most heroic moments in any of the movies and creates the chance to truly show him getting gratitude for his actions beyond the train group's show of solidarity. First with Maggie trying to subtly provide what little help she can and then reaching out to others to do their part as well.

Considering the kind of crap Spiderman goes through and the way the tabloids treat him, it's good to see him the appreciation he deserves for working his ass off saving lives.

Anyone who's seen Spiderman 2 - so most people, I think - could do worse than taking an hour or so to read this one.

    4/5
