So, obviously, I'm looking for fics that have Riddle/Voldemort teaching Defence Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts. The only one I've read is 'Rectifier' by Niger Aquila, and I wanted to see what else is out there.


I don't know how big a selection there is but I'd like to find a few. Any recs, folks?

 

The only one worth reading is The Other Side of the Coin, by Zennith.

Harry Potter and the Boy Who Lived by The Santi [The first three chapters only. Ch4 onwards is set at Durmstrang and Voldemort plays no on-screen role... yet]

 

I'd forgotten about Zennith's story, Inky, thanks for the reminder. I'm re-reading it now.

And yak, while I really appreciated the way Santi wrote Quirrelmort, I don't really count that one. And I hated what little I read of Methods of Rationality, so that's out. Thanks for the recs, though.

I guess what I really want is a bit of prolongued exposure to Riddle as a teacher -- in both Rectifier and The Other Side of the Coin, there were some really detailed scenes of his classroom persona. How he handled the subject, both in material and in atmosphere. That's what really has me interested in this type of story.

It's short at the moment, but the author has plans for the next two chaptes. The lazy fuck just needs to write them out.

 

I was trying to remember the name to recc it. However, if Riddle in a classroom is what you're after, this won't give you your fix.

Still, it's superb, so read it anyway if you haven't already.
