Don't forget the Splinter Cell pack - $26 for Splinter Cell, Chaos Theory, Double Agent and Conviction.

Grand Theft Auto 4 plus it's two expansions for $9.99.

Does anyone have this on PC? I remember a ton of complaints about this game for the PC version around the release. Bugs and incompatibility issues. Were they fixed at all?

I believe there were some mod fixes, but the game is still a terrible port.

    Yes, they were.

    My personal experience was this:

I played GTAIV on WinXP with a nVidia 8800GTS video card maybe 6 months after release [not sure about timing]. It crashed regularly, BSOD's, and frozen screens mostly.

I decided to give it another try about a month ago. This time I'm on Win7 64-bit with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD5870. I'm about 80% of the way through and it hasn't crashed once.

I have seen a couple of strange graphics bugs. Occasionally a window won't reflect the world correctly [but only when you look at it from a specific angle], or an open doorway in a building will not allow you to see into the building's interior [again, only from specific angles], and lastly on some freeways with concrete barricades, the road can be momentarily obscured, like a meter deep impenetrable fog. These bugs occur only rarely, and apart from running down a motorcyclist once when he was covered by the concrete fog, they've caused me no problems.

It seems that the worst of the bugs have either been fixed, or else the steady march of OS and hardware upgrades have rendered them moot. I'm not sure which. YMMV, of course.

This probably isn't the best place for it, but if anyone wants a copy of Defense Grid: The Awakening, I have five spares on my Steam account. PM me if you want one.

    EDIT: And they're gone.

Stick. Seems a decent idea to just stick this and make it an official dump for sales and gifts through Steam.

/me watches as Steam goes into a few months without sales. Your cursed our luck!

Still, nice idea. Makes it easier to let people see new deals.

I assume that this is also the right thread for non-Steam sales.

GOG has a sale this weekend for some renowned, classic Ubisoft games from before the company turned evil. The games are $6.99ea [30% off], or you can buy all six as a pack for $29.94 [50% off]. That's the lowest discount percentage that GOG.com sells games for.

Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 (32 & 64 bit):
    CHESSMASTER® 9000 (2002)
    FAR CRY® (2004)
PRINCE OF PERSIA®: THE SANDS OF TIME (2003)
    SETTLERS® 2: GOLD EDITION, THE (1996)

Windows XP, Windows Vista (32 & 64 bit):
    IL-2 STURMOVIK™: 1946 (2006)
    DRIVER®: PARALLEL LINES (2007)

Someday I'll have a setup that can play games like Morrowind. Someday.

That's the Aussie price. It's £/€/$10 for everyone else [50% off]. This is the 3rd time Steam's sold it at this price.

Actually, we get charged in US dollars. So, Metro 2033 is an extra US$5 because we're logging in from Australia. There's no currency conversion being done; it's a pure price hike. Not all publishers price gouge us, but enough of them do.

    Welcome to regional pricing.

Pfft, silly Aussie. Don't you know laying the internet tubez all the way to your home is a huge expense? It has to be made back somehow.

No. I didn't. It wasn't amusing in the slightest, so I ignored it.

    Valve covets it so.
