The reviewers are hand-picked from among the most competent and informed readers on the site. I'd trust that their top-ranked stories are worthy of the C2.

Judge selection is actually random from those who want to judge.

Eh. I feel that winning the contest is enough but I assume most writers will upload their stories to FFNet and submit them to the Library anyway. I know I will after I edit it.

This. Already put it on FF.net, wasn't sure about policy regarding submitting it for the library after the contest... suppose I'll just put it up.

Hah, while I'd certainly like to take that compliment, and then bask in my superiority for a few minutes... Like Virail said, it's random.

Though I can't imagine the submitted stories being rejected in For Review.

My bad--sorry about that. (You probably can tell I haven't been following the reviewer submission threads).

Just a little request here; can you guys please remember to promote the C2 at every available opportunity? Added a request in my most recent publication and got a little spike today, with about double the number of users subscribing. If we keep a high level of exposure we ought to hit #1 in a couple of months, which would be fucking amazing really.

Dunno if this helps traffic to the C2 or not, but in replying to reviews for my one and only FFN-posted story, I've tried putting somethng like "for the very best in HP fanfiction, visit the DLP C2 and darklordpotter.net".

Now granted, that's a total of about 10 people, but hey - every little bit helps, right? I've been meaning to update my FFN profile and pimp the C2 there as well, but, well... I'm lazy. (shrugs) might be a project for lunchtime today.

Maybe those of you with tons of reviews and/or stories might consider pimping the C2 in your review reples as well.

I think a good way to get a sudden influx would be authors of the Monthly Awards to start posting their stories on ff.net with a little plug about the C-2. They are quality and will probably take some hits and bump the number up. Also, if some are put on For Review, with ff.net links, it may get some more lurkers, who only visit there for the stories, to read them and thus get exposed to the C-2.

Well, I've posted 'Case 129' to fanfiction.net, and I'd love to see Sesc's 'Unatoned' added too.

So I was cruising around FF.net, looking for something interesting, when what do I see? I'll give you a hint:

You do realize that thumbs up mean jackshit as well, right? So getting jackshit for doing jackshit... seems fair to me.

I don't post enough to really care either way but some people appreciate the recognition. No need to be condescending about it.

Also, my previous post was, if you analyse it properly, a complex dissection of, and social commentary on, the chronic need for approval that many of the lower class posters of this forum exhibit.

    Hmmm. Indeed.

EDIT: No but seriously, I'm not complaining about it as if I feel hard done by, I just think it's funny.

^ It looks like he tried to make an ascot from a bandana and, shockingly, failed miserably.

Wait. There's a difference between an ascot and a bandana?

You're just jealous you don't get "thumbed up" often enough.

There you go, I gave you one for reminding me of your crusade against 16 year old girls. It was very nostalgic.
