Well, 2d Boy is alright, although they only have one game I know of. World of Goo was pretty damn awesome.

Run by pretty much one guy and a few helpers, makes the best indie RPGs I've played pretty much ever. Writing is good enough to make you actually care too.

I used to visit Newgrounds a lot way back when. Pretty crazy where they started and what they're up to now.

Not all of the big companies are douches, Vash; Relic Entertainment and -especially- VALVe are still decent, though the former seems to be intent on drowning everyone with yet more fucking Warhammer games.

Now EA, for example...they're beyond redemption.

Debatable. Considering they sell digital hats and fake items for waaay more than they're worth.

Yeah, but aside from the whole 'Left 4 Dead 2 Boycott' thing a few years ago (which they've more than made up for in the following year), have they screwed anyone over like any of the other, big companies (see EA as a primary example, or Blizzard as another) have done?

Hell, Blizzard used to be decent, before they got too absorbed with World of Warshite; now, they're so damn restrictive on all their products when it comes to Terms of Service (the limits on SCII mod making, for example) and their own game design...it's pretty sad to see.

    Not so much.

Don't think that's fair. The digital items are worth what the market will pay for them. I just finished selling an old Outwar account for $300, and it certainly has no real physical value, just what people will pay for it.

You play with Barbie dolls too? Cause my sister still has a dozen or more in the boxes somewhere at my grandmothers. Last I remember at least 2 were valued at the $80-100 range and one around $195.

Those digital hats raised $400k for Japan. Xbox live and a ton of developers sell avatar items, but I don't see you complaiing about those. People want to use their cash on digital hats? Good for them, none of my business. I don't see why you're up in arms about it.

Bit Blot. Just because Aquaria is one of my favorite games ever.

Oh, also Frictional Games. Penumbra and Amnesia are some freaky awesome shit.
