"What?" Oh that stupid boy… "Are you dead?"

"She is- huh?" Tom stumbled on his words.

"Oh-kay…" The boy shrugged.

"You must be Harry Potter. Ginny wrote so much about you. Do you know how incredibly dull that was? Pretending to care about her pathetic fantasies and exaggerations? I mean, come on, turning a man into a pile of coins? Pfft. Breaks three of the four laws-"

"I'm guessing you're the bad guy then," Harry stopped, looking his newly identified opponent squarely in the eye, and charged at Riddle. Tom was entirely unprepared for the speed and epic strength of Harry Potter's right cross to his jaw. Several painfully bright stars the size of dinner plates circled around his aching head. The dank stone vault sped by him as he slammed into cold, damp granite blocks that made up the walls of this secret retreat. If the horcrux could have died, he would have. Instead he felt undeniable pain as his spine and ribs desperately knitted themselves back together.

"Speak to me Slytherin, greatest of the Hogwarts four," Tom gritted out in a harsh passage of Parseltongue. Stone jaws opened and a great wurm crawled out of the statue's yawning mouth. Tom tried to move his legs, but they simply would not work. Even with the immortality granted to him, it seemed he could be crippled.

"Kill him!" Riddle yelled out, his shaking wand hand pointing at the black haired boy who stood at the center of the room. With a roar, the elder snake reared up like a cobra, spitting poison out in a rapid stream at Harry, who barely danced away, his shoe splattered by the caustic acid. Horrified, he look at the smoking, dissolving remains of his dirty trainer.

"Why do I have to bloody well be the one to deal with this crap?" Harry lamented. Almost reluctantly, he reached deep inside himself for the power of self-respect, and pulled out a shining silver sword that burned with a quietly assured fire.

 

Dammit, somebody needs to write a HP/SP crossover. As a humor fic, I guess.

 

I really don't see how you could do it any other way, given the sheer irreverence of Scott Pilgrim.

 

Could have it so that Harry needs to defeat Voldemort's seven Horcrux personalities, providing a nice parallel to SP, inevitably leading up to him defeating his darker half in an explosive and epic magical showdown.

The Brother Wand effect: Is not just a really flashy priori incantantum. If you keep it going long enough, the wands of both brothers shatter, crippling their ability to use wands. (long backstory short: the brother wand effect was included as a feature back in the long time ago when families frequently had brother wands, as a way for families to remove the dangerous capabilities without killing).
Harry, upon seeing his mom and dad getting pulled out of voldemort's wand, looses it completely, and keeps up the effect till both his and Voldemort's wands explode.
Bad news: Harry can't do wand magic anymore, maybe ritual style magic and potions and something else?
Worse News: With normal wands not working for him, Tom spends 5th year trying to get Dumbledore out of the castle so he can steal the elder wand and then kill Dumbledore with it.

 

You just ruled out any chance for Harry to defeat anyone, participate in most classes, defend himself(5th year dementors,Ministry). If you want to go down on that angle to, then you just ruined him emotionally ( he lost his wand,Cedric death, summer isolation, frustration because he can't do wand magic etc). So the only route I can see is(bar offing himself and resorting to muggle technology) is learning wandless magic which has the chance to make him Super!Harry or very weak compared to other with wand.

You could use the Sword of Griffyndor as a deux ex machina, so he could cast with the sword and learn über sword fighting skills for strange, powerfull and old Japanese man who conveniently lives near him, and miraculously can train him up under three months.

Maybe he could learn animagi, so he could kill the enemy whit his awesome magical animagus form.

I've gotten some really really basic ideas for a Harry Potter fanfiction and I thought why not posting it here and maybe expand with the suggestions of other.

Plot 1: Harry travels back in time to the Founders' era. I was thinking of an accident during the ministry battle in his 5th year that lead to the time travel. It would also help that Harry keeps his brash attitude and keep acting without thinking. Basically, and I don't know how, Harry would be the one responsible for Slytherin to part with the other Founders.

Maybe his actions caused someone's death, a daughter of Slytherin i.e. or another founder's death. Since he has no 'pureblood' background, he would be considered a muggleborn hence why Slytherin would like to get rid of him.

Plot 2: Harry travels back in time to the creation of the Wizard's Council, the first step in the creation of a governing body for the wizarding world of britain. We would then discover the true meaning of what Pureblood means when they preach the respect of traditions, etc.

Those are very basic concept and I'm not even sure I'd go and actually take the time to write something more definite,but suggestions are always welcome.

 

Okay This bunny bugging me for some time but for some reason I can't make heads or tail for this bunny so if I babble a little bit sorry about it.

At the DH when Harry gets hit by AK instead of meeting with DD he meats a charismatic man who introduces it self as Alexander or he is known as The Emperor Man.(yes 40k)

He explains how he got there (he is in coma so he is there for some time) ask what Harry is doing there when Harry in return explains what happened to him Emperor decides to give poor guy some advice maybe a little help even. Harry wakes in Forbidden forest goes and kills Voldemort. Later he starts to bid for power to unite humanity against threats wich is out there. Harry be comes first president of Earth Or Emperor of Earth or some thing.

He finds a stargate on Earth and starts to crate an super power in the galaxy maybe meeting with goa'uld and asgard or so on so forth. Obviously ıt would be Sg-1 crossover but 40k crossover could be done with.

But then we have to find another way to make Harry leader that could lead humanity. I thought Emperor would make a good role model then we can have a Harry who can make fear Ra himself fear him. But on the other hand having 3 crossover might be too much.

I mean I wanna have a badass Harry who will destroy his enemies and I want him in Sg universe damn it. There are so few sg crossover I mean good ones. I thought this one would be good. What do you think?

 

To be honest, sounds a bit woolly. So Harry meets the Emperor of Mankind, who just happens to give him some advice? This results in Harry waking up determined to take over the world? But in a good way of course...?

Its practically impossible that Harry would be able to unite the world as it is today. So setting him up as the Emperor of Earth really isn't feasible unless you completely ignore reality.

There is certainly nothing wrong with the idea of the wizarding world finding a stargate. Perhaps have it set post DH, Hermione working in the Department of Mysteries, a new find from somewhere in the world is brought in for study. Its a stargate of course, Hermione takes quite a while to figure it out. Perhaps the breakthrough, and cross over point, comes when the stargate activates and part of SG-1 comes flying out. It would of course be the episode Solitudes which would have had Carter and O'Neill trapped in Antarctica. Instead they arrive in the DoM.

Or...perhaps have the wizarding world find an Ancient Outpost buried under Britain somewhere. They do manage to understand enough of the information there that they piece together that there is an entire galaxy of stuff going on out there. Perhaps they manage to detect some sort of energy emission from the SCG? Or perhaps an SG team arrives to explore the outpost to find it already occupied by witches and wizards?

There are all sorts of things you can do that stay closer in line with whats realistically possible and also doesn't throw Harry completely OOC.

 

Use the Veil as SG? While I know it is not technically one (in appearance), from what I remember of canon the veil is exactly that: an archway with a veil in between. Make the archway circular and you have a stargate. You could also say that the veil is dysfunctional and works only one way and that is why everyone who has gone through has never come back.

For the story, the SG is repaired on the other side and bam SG crew enters the DoM and everyone is, of course, WTF?

I don't know much about SG, but I think there are some kind of telepaths or something with 'alien' powers right?. You could say that they are descendant from the wizards that went through the veil and through the years their magic have mutated or since there wasn't any wandmaker, they focused mainly on wandless magic/mind magic which could have lead to the knowledge of wand magic being lost to this civilization.

 

I don't know if it's just me, but concious powerful wand magic is always iffy in fanfics to me... based on JKR's view though, guns > magic, so the Stargate team would easily defeat the DE's.

 

It depends the situation. I think the wizards could easily win raid-oriented confrontation versus an all open battle.

They can turn invisible, Apparate and mind control. With just those 3 spells you can easily turn the tide of a battle. Add to that very dark magic like Fiendyfire and you've got something that can destroy an army and is unstoppable by muggle means.

 

Where did you find that in JKR's view guns>magic? I don't remember anything in books suggesting it, so maybe some interview?

I was thinking still using normal weapons plus extra abilties. so no wand waveing outside of planet I always thought it was childish using just wand to use magic. Maybe Wizarding world mets Nox and Harry learns to use magic witout wand perhaps. But no I mean NO AVADA KEDAVRE Goa'uld. I don't wanna see it that way it makes it too unrealistic.

 

No fucking shit. The Muggles vs. Wizards thing is brought up every single time Muggles are even mentioned on the same page as the word "weapon" or "gun." And then BAM!, instead thread derail. :facepalm

 

There have been 3 big debate threads over the last few years I think. You can find them searching. Believe me, you have no new arguments to add to either side.
