So, as the title says, I want to know what are your favorite stories. And I mean the number 1 fav... For in FF.net most people have a shitload of fics in there favs list..

I know it can be kinda hard to choose; heck, say the first that comes to mind, idk. or say your 3 (at most) all time favorites.

Ill start. I guess my favorite fanfic Ive ever read is The Hero's Path, by TheJackOfDiamonds.
Sadly its been abandoned (I think the author died?)

A Black Comedy by Nonjon is easily my favorite fanfic of all time.

 

For me it's a tie between A Black Comedy and The Lie I've Lived.

On the Way to Greatness by mira mirth definitely has the potential to be though.

 

Oh boy, here comes the massive ego-inflation all 'round.

I don't really have a good enough memory to quantify fics into favourites. But there's two that stand out for me:

Ectomancer - Something incredibly different to any other story I had seen before; the world created within was fascinating and unique.

Circular Reasoning - The rewritten beginning, really, is what ranks it so high: I've never seen a story start better, and Swim's prose is continually fantastic.

Shezza's Denarian Renegade/Knight/Lord Series. I've probably read each a dozen times.

 

Wastelands of Time, Circular Reasoning, and Naruto: Altered History are probably the best fan fics I've read.

Runnerup would be Harry Potter and the Assassin's Creed by Grinning Lizard.

 

The Denarian Trilogy, Circular Reasoning, and Wastelands of Time are some of my favorite stories in general, fanfiction or no.

Several of ruskbyte's stories might make my list of favorite fanfics if they weren't all abandoned.

 

Honestly, this used to be my absolute favourite, but after the third re-read just to catch up with the latest update it's really lost its charm. I can't even get past the first chapter anymore.

 

Either the Sacrifices Arc (all of it) or The Sound of Sorcery by Somnambulus Deo (which I would kill for an update for). Prince of the Dark Kingdom might hit it once it's completed.

 

Definitely Circular Reasoning. Most bad ass Harry ever.

 

There are several that are up there (the Grey Maiden series, the Promises trilogy, and Forward off the top of my head), but in the end I have to go with A Stranger in an Unholy Land.

 

I can't be the only one who thinks CR isn't good?

Anyways, my favorite story right now is Browncoat, Green eyes.

 

If I had to pick just one fic, it would have to be Shezza's Denarian Trilogy.

The Human Condition by C.K. Talons

There was just something about this story that I considered brilliant. Nothing definitive, but the overall scope and effect. Written 8 years ago now.

DLP, for the most part, didn't like it - although it made the library.
