I'd be down for some Minecraft. I always did feel that the commands kind of took the fun out of it. It'd be sweet to start from scratch and build a town (or some sort of system) the hard way.

One thing this idea has planted in my head is all kinds of users creeping through houses on the server looking for people's secret stashes of daimond and gold. That shit's precious when you don't have commands.

So yes, I'd most certainly be willing to do something like this.

And.. How does one get to this server. Cause I've been looking through the pages and the only ones I find don't seem to work. Sorry to be a bother.

Anyway, the day's wrap up, and also some of my shit. Also, my texture pack is a custom packed Painterly if anyone asks.


pdo was an awesome sport and excavated a lot of the mountain for us to use as a communal space. This is DLP's new HQ :awesome. You can see pdo's awesome watchtower up at the top there.

My day's work. Casa de la Lutris, motherfuckers. I've got the foundations down, as well as the first residential floor (my apartment). The torches on top of the temporary roof are there to prevent mob spawns while I'm building, so they're just randomly placed.

Beginning of my OMGWTFBBQISTHAT compound. Now with 42% less squareness.

Rebuilding my cacti farm and tree farms next. Then I need to finish the darkroom and the farm animal traps. After that...who knows.

I wish to fuck they didn't change the light going through stairs and halfblocks. It ruined my entire hidden lighting system. Fucking programmers.

Spiders are white.
Zombies are Yetis.
Pigs have Creeper masks.
Wolves are Corgis. With tails. And sunglasses.
Sheep and Cows are mentally deficient. (No offense to any challenged persons or whatever.)
There are twin Suns.

Dear server players: Your wolves prevent other passive mobs from spawning. Like pigs, for instance.

Next time you log in, don't be surprised if your wolves are missing.

 

LOL. Try taking out all 14 wolves in my tower before they maul your bitch ass. :awesome

 

They only all attack at once if you're online and I attack you.

 

In case you guys haven't heard, there's been a new patch. A few really cool things have been added. Namely:

- Trap doors

- Maps

- Wild grass (That you collect seeds from when you destroy)

- Wool made from 9 pieces of string

- Chain armor (Made from hacking fire into your inventory and shaping it into armor)

Also, the nether now works in multiplayer! Do I smell a DLP hell fortress?

 

There's also a whole slew of new bugs. It's probably not the best idea to upgrade right now.

 

Hm... Well, my Minecraft automatically updates. Is there a way for me to downgrade it back to 1.5 until the server upgrades as well?

 

Apparently. I don't have the link on-hand, but there's definitely a way to do so. Also, you should get the new launcher, since that one does not automatically update.

Here's Notch noticing how severe the bugs are.

EDIT: Got the links. I have not used them myself since I haven't played Minecraft since the patch, but here's one and here's the other. Also, check your .minecraft/bin folder for a backup of the previous version. If it's there, you can just delete your current minecraft.jar and rename the 1.5_01 to downgrade. I think.
