I don't really think that it's fair to say that Yates has made the films shit, because I still enjoyed them. Yes, it could be said that he could have done them in a more adult manner, but lets be fair, the majority of people who go to see this will be parents with children and the like. I do think that he could have done a better job by not including some weird shit, and I will rage insanely when I watch the film, but I think he's done a good enough job to make the vast majority of people enjoy the film.

Oh yeah, this smilie looked cool so... :fire

    YEAH BITCHES.

Saw this still over at IMDb. Why? Why - in the most bad-ass moment of Neville's life, when he has reached the absolute apex of his courage and heart - do the numb-nuts in costume design still stick him in a sweater that looks like it was shit-canned by Ron Weasley?

    Where are the robes?

I thought wizards wore robes - and knew nothing about "muggle" fashion.

Neville should be wearing striped pants with a plaid shirt and a pith hat if he's not donning the robes.

On an unrelated note - I've seen the pics of the next-gen kids on a HP wiki. Is it me - or were the kids cast to highlight that Weasley genes makes everyone uglier?

It's the imbreeding, and maybe the phrase that they breed like rabbits has some truth to it...

Yes, yes. The imbreeding. Why hadn't I thought of that?

Hahahah, that is just hilarious. Now to decide on whether I want a Hermione almost touching face doll or a Hermione ACTUALLY touching face doll. HOW WILL I EVER DECIDE?!?!

So let me get this straight. The director decided that canon and the mythology of the world were utterly, totally worthless. Decided to go for Teh Dramaz and in doing so destroys a buttload of poignant, important scenes, added in some cheap thrills for "Romance" and to make Ron seem like something besides a useless git?

Am I the only one whose going to be putting off watching this till it's in the cheapo theaters? I refuse to drop twenty dollars for a few hours of rage and disappointment.

    Do Not Want.

Hell no, gonna get smashed and party no matter how bad it turns out! It's like the end of an era almost. I'll be at the midnight showing or one of the ones right after. I grew up on this stuff, and I'll see it go out in style, even if I need to be drunk to enjoy it!

I went to the Part 1 midnight showing and someone had dressed up as the fucking Whomping Willow! Complete with Ford Anglia. It was awesome.

Movies usually bring out the last dvd of the series seperately and then about a month or so afterwards they bring out the boxset, as some people can't wait to see it and by the dvd, then by the boxset.

Qilin's got the right idea. This is the end of an era. Just give in to your inner child and watch the magic happen.

Heh. Might just be me, but for me the era ended in 2007, when the last book came out. I never felt a link to the movies as I did with the books, and as I said before, the utter fail projected in the later movies made me drop it totally. Haven't seen one since I saw OotP in a movie theatre, and doubt that I will (unless I stumble on it in FTA-TV).

My inner child was reading Lord of The Rings and watching Nova when it was the same age that Harry was when he went to Hogwarts for First Year.

My inner child has standards, the movies do not meet them.

I saw that earlier and the first thing that came to me was...

"The Deathly Hallows finale of the worldwide Harry Potter phenomenon will be split into seven different parts, but they'll be shown in a random distribution of theaters across North America, with the last segment only being shown in two venues in either Nebraska or Rhode Island, or possible Toronto (potentially inducing a massive backlog for the Passport-issuing offices of the Federal Govt.)

"Promoters anticipate that bidding for those seats should reach the thousands..."
