I really hate that there's a manifestation of the curse seal. Surely it should be something that corrupts and stuff, but seriously anything you can speak to? No way. The curse seal is a curse seal, it doesn't have any ideas of its own, it can't speak to the person that has the seal. It's just a seal that apparently affects the person that has been bitten in this case. Then we have some fics that have the curse seal actually train Naruto. I think this is absolutely ridiculous.

EDIT: Torak, I think God of shinobi isn't that far away from a guy that handled two previous hokages and a guy that I think would definitely count as a kage level guy. All at the same time. Obviously he died and Orochimaru lived but seriously the impression you got from the guy was that he was really hardcore.

 

I think my biggest pet peeve in terms of Naruto Cliches, is how every male character reacts to 'Sexy no Jutsu' and how every female character reacts to it. I know it's somewhat canon, but I am so sick of having Ninja society being so repressed that they either become irrationally berserk to the point of physical violence at the sight of a naked woman, or become completely debilitated by their arousal. I just want one character, besides Jiraiya, who sees it, nods, and just walks on by.

 

And then that character would begin to find randomly placed pamphlets titled 'Coming Out: A Guide' and 'Emptying Your Closet.' Constantly. And have no idea why.

My biggest peeve is femme!Kyuubi always turning Naruto into a girl. Literally. Kyuubi expressing motherly concern for Naruto throughout his childhood makes him a sensitive little flower who is secretly a complete badass! Or, Kyuubi's femininity bleeds into Naruto as he/she's growing up, making it easier for him to change genders at the drop of a hat! And get pregnant!

 

And there is one cliche I am happy to never have run into. Thank you ninja-mecha-zombie Jesus!

 

Hanzo did the same thing when beating Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orchimaru all were considered Kage Level at the time

 

While Hanzo probably wasn't at his peak at the time I doubt he was as old as Sandaime was. I don't think you absolutely should call him God of Shinobi but he could be called that and it wouldn't bother me. Unless it's completely overused of course.

 

Wasn't that the Sage of Six Paths title? According to Narutopedia The Sage shares the same nickname with the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi. They were both known as the God of Shinobi (忍の神, Shinobi no Kami).

 

For the record, I think they mean the title a bit more literally with the Sage of the Six Paths. IIRC, he is the deity they call on when shit goes down. The Third was just a hard core dude.

The worst cliche I personally think would be Naruto getting beaten by a mob random dude saves him threatens the Hokage and than Sarutobi lets them take his weapon out of the village.

Making Sarutobi weak there is a reson he was chosen as Hokage that man is a monster he surpassed human limits.

Giant harems I don't mind him having two or three girls but when he ends up with eight theres no character development what so ever.

Yes, I quite agree. However, nobody really seems to believe on the Sage of the Six Paths, they take it more as a fairy tale, or legend.
So yes, very much like an old deity.

Also, Naruto creating his own village. I've only ever seen this done well once, and even that story had fallen to some cliches (different ones, mind you).
You don't just gather a few thousand villagers, make some room in the map and make a nation. The reasons why this is nearly impossible are insanely many.

You all are just Third this, Third that. Keep it cool, in my opinion he was the second weakest hokage (after Tsunade, not including Danzo).
Let's face the fact, we know all shit about him and his skill, when he was younger.
Only Orochimaru opinion that, he wouldn't be able to defeat Third in earlier years. Well big news, Orochimaru while being strong shinobi and being Kage level wasn't on level with others Hokages (Tsunade not included). Opinion that Third defeated, Orochimaru with First and Second is also irrelevant (fact being that it was just the last two fighting, when Oro was standing nearby and I don't know cheering and being his smart ass-self). Kabuto may be saying miracles and others unbelievable things, but shinobi resurrected using Edo Tensei aren't as good are their original living self. Kankuro wining over Sasori? Some punk-asses Kumo shinobies wining over their village legends? Diedera bitching and being captured almost instantly? Kakashi wining over Zabuza in just minutes?
Fact is that just First Hokage should dominate old Surobati. Him being guy, who was on even grounds with Madara, who is now shadow of his former-self, rest obviously also awesome. So First > Third.

Now into Tobirama Senju, also not very much is known about him except, he was good with Water ninjutsu, had bad-ass jedi sword and was user of above mentioned technique Edo Tensei, which although people summoned are weaker, is strong technique. Summoned objects do not tire and are regenerating, so being smart and using this technique accordingly you are very powerful (just look at Kabuto from ninja of Kakashi class(his words of which, I doubt), he become one of most major and powerful character). So it can be said that Second >= Third.

Fourth, I do not think it's is worth mentioning, as almost everybody excite on point of him. Fourth > Third.

Uh, are you serious? Did we even see the same Orochimaru fight? Because my understanding is that it goes 4th>3rd>2nd>5th=1st in straight up combat. Given that the Second Hokage had a technique as powerful as Impure World Resurrection up his sleeve, that is saying something. IIRC the Third fought Orochimaru, the First, and the Second to a standstill, then proceeded to WTFPWN the First and Second with his suicide jutsu while crippling Orochimaru. Then his heart gave out. Because he's like 90 years old. I don't think there's any question as his adamant balls. :facepalm
