Likewise... I've been lacking in motivation recently, but next week is finals and I'll have a light class load during the summer so I'll probably start again.

Quite right; I can't really think of anything else I'd consider a classic. Maybe The Lie I've Lived and the Denarian Trilogy. And I guess Wastelands, but I tried to reread it and couldn't, so meh.

Same here. I'd rank it as the third best Slytherin!Harry (after WWSHD? and Sitra Ahra) but it isn't great.

How about the Psychic Serpent Trilogy? It was excellent when it was first written and, unlike almost everything else I've read, still is.

It is the classic classic fanfic.

    IMO at least.

This is pet peeves thread. We are getting off-topic.

One of my peeves is that in some AU's they put Harry in very different situations but at last they make him save Hermione during Halloween. I didn't see any major fic where Hermione gets killed by the troll.

Maybe I should write a story where Hermione dies and starts haunting Hogwarts library. Harry will butter her up like he did to Myrtle and she will research everything for him. :facepalm

That used to be a major problem admittedly, but the more common thing now is for Harry to not save her, but for her to still survive. Generally in recent AU's where it doesn't make sense for Harry to save her, the authors just don't go into it in any detail.

How will she research anything when she can't hold open a book? That way only leads to madness :)

I was implying the possibility of HP ghosts having certain powers as they often do in the media i.e. telekinesis.

There is also a rather nice Idea that Ghosts are able to interact with the things that they are specifically anchored too. Myrtle is achored to that Bathroom/Toilet Stall, so she can interact with it physically. But she can't interact with the students that come in or the rest of the castle physically.

LibrarianGhost!Hermione would likely be similar. Able to interact with either All of or Certain parts of the Library. At least to my mind.

LibraryGhost!Hermione should at least be able to slime bookends and stack books straight into the air. She would be a full torso apparition after all.;)

Unless the troll's club smushed her mid-section so bad, she was nothing but a floating torso with a severed spine dangling down.

My biggest pet peeve is not about any device that shows up in fanfiction, but about writing it. A lot of the time when I go to sleep, I think about anything and everything, and sometimes its about what I want to write in a story.

But in the fucking morning I can't remember any of the shit I was thinking about. I need a pensieve.
