Tsunade is slower then Kakashi.

 

But getting hit by just one of her punches is a hell of a lot more dangerous than getting hit by just One of Kakashi's. It forces a person to be careful when going on the offense against her, giving her more time to actually land a Hit.

 

One hit vs a Raikiri, hmmm depends on where the Raikiri hits, as well as the fact that Kakashi isn't a Uchiha so his Sharingan drains him quite a bit thus slowing him down. Although even one of Tsunade's hit to anyone would take him/her out of commission.

 

He can't keep the Raikiri going forever, and it takes awhile to charge up, IIRC, whereas Tsunade doesn't need anything special to just punch him.

Secondarily, it takes less time to block/dodge than it does to throw an offensive maneuver, so while Kakashi may be faster than she is offensively, I'm pretty sure she could do a pretty good job of defending against the Loud Glowing Straight Line Attack. Remember when she cracked the ground with her /finger/?

Imagine what she could do just by stomping her foot. Hard to use a straight line attack like the Raikiri is supposed to be when the ground that was flat in front of you suddenly becomes riddled with bigass cracks and hills and giant clods of earth in your path.

I mean, you saw what Sakura did during the Second Bell Test, right?

I was reading a fanfiction and I saw S-Rank (like in many others stories). It made me wonder if that rank was canon or fanon. I make a research where I thought it would be used in the manga, but I didn't see any reference to S-rank.

More like Kakashi + Genin Jichuuriki + Genin Uchiha Genius won the war.

And since this isn't Kakashi + Genin Jinchuuriki + Genin Uchiha Genius vs other styles, the argument is invalid.

 

Anyways it doesn't matter who would win Tsunade vs Kakashi as I doubt they will ever fight. Anyways I have a feeling that the next Naruto episode will just fuel even more yaoi, did you see the preview? "Sasuke I will save your chaotic vengeance filled heart!"

You know, I'm not sure. IIRC it's somewhere near the beginning, though. When Akatsuki and Itachi first start to really show up.

I do know that if you look in Direct-Translations of the Databooks (various, there are four atm IIRC), there are mentions of S-Rank missions and S-Rank jutsu. And, I believe, S-Rank ninja. It has been used in official sources. I'll see if I can find a manga page though.

Just on a personal note, why the hell is 'S' considered the best ranking? I get that its a Japanese thing, but since the rest of the ranks are just plain western letters it makes no sense. It seems strange to arbitrarily choose one letter.

 

From what I've read, no-one really knows. The concept is that it's generally reserved for an 'Absolutely Perfect' example of whatever the grading scale is being used on in the beginning.

Since in Japan anything less than a 'C' is Failing Horribly, the idea of having something even better than an 'A' (which is what most students generally strive for and maintaining an 'A' grade basically only gets you a 'Well Done' and a pat on the shoulder from lots of folks) probably appeals to the gaming culture there, which is heavily student based (like most gaming cultures).

But no-one seems to know why they chose 'S'.

Super? Stupendous? Sweet? Special? Superb? Supreme?
