Incase you didn't know

 

While Im incredibly excited for the game to come out, Steam really needs to have a talk with whoever writes those pages. Out of all the things you could think to say to encourage people to buy Duke Nukem the fact that you can play Pinball and Air Hockey should not be on top of the list. If your buying Duke Nukem for the Pinball experience you need to hand in your man card and go somewhere quiet to be ashamed of yourself.

 

It's real. It's actually real. I've had the game for all of two hours and so far I've punched an actor, destroyed the alien mothership, microwaved a rat and been told off by the president.

It's a mindless shooter, what did you expect?

So, i've heard good and bad things about this.

I'd like to hear some of the DLP's opinions before I end up getting it however.

 

Too little too short. It was a one way street all the way, the game was holding your hand. You can only have 2 weapons at any given time, and they have placed the weapons they want you to use at any given area... The only stage I liked was the kitchen one, it was pretty cool.

I like Duke 3D far more then this, I don't recommend you buying it.

Edit: I forgot about the secret places and power-ups, there are non. The game actually punishes you if you try to explore.

Anyone play the PC version yet? From what I've heard, it's better then the console ports.

 

I don't know about the console versions, but the PC version SUCK.

I kinda expected it to be a disappointment, just from the hype, but I was hoping for at least average.

 

In short, it looks like a game from 2004 on the PC, as opposed to a 2001 game on the consoles.

I don't know why anyone would have expected a better game. It's a game that has been switching from developer to developer for 11 years now, switching engines and writers constantly. Most people have seen shitty movies like that. Hell, I'm surprised this didn't turn out so bad. Just a mediocre shooter instead of a terrible one.
