Eh, I can still tolerate Sansa in the show. I absolutely hated her in the books.

I wasn't a fan of Sansa for a long time, until around Storm of Swords. Then I realized how many chapters she was going to have, and I grew fond of her so that I could enjoy her chapters. Anyway, I can't wait to see what the future books bring her way, what with the things she's been through. I am really hoping that she turns into a badass well versed in the manipulations of court/people. /crosses fingers.

The last scene with Daenerys was well done, and I am now way more excited to see the dragons as they get larger.

In regards to Jon Snow: he is not how I imagined him at all, but by now he has displaced my original image. I had always pictured Jon as having a leaner build, a thinner face. Also, this actor leaves his mouth gaping open all the time, and he can't help but remind me of a whiny emo bitch every episode, I swear. It's a good thing I really do like Jon Snow, or I'd hate him. At this point he just annoys me a bit...

Well I think it was supposed to show he wasn't as feeble and stupid as he looks, because even as he conveyed that image to Roz, one of Littlefinger's whores, the moment she left, he looked like a spring chicken for a moment there. Probably just a bit of a "watch this guy, just in case" moment.

Also, I love Sansa. Seriously, she was a whiny thing at the start and all, but I think Sophie Turner's doing a great job with her and I have hope for an awesome streak of Stark-ness to come out of her - hell, she might outlive them all.

Great episode, awesome season, fantastic show... Off to read the books now. Can't wait a year for more fun.

I have mixed feelings. Starting out, with no knowledge of the books, I wanted this to totally be about Ned Stark versus Khal Drogo, army against army. I mean, I hated the Lanisters (except Tyrion) and all the other dudes they wanted me to hate, but I didn't give a shit about their relation to the plot. I just wanted to see Sean Bean and Jason Mamoa stare down. And they're both dead.

The rest of the cast isn't all that interesting to me. I mean, Arya and Robb are cool, as is Jon Snow and Tyrion (who I could spend an entire season watching those two interact), but Daenrys isn't all that interesting (perhaps because she reminds me of the Vord Queen and I didn't like them), and I do want to see Joffery impaled and squeal like a little bitch (excellent work from his actor, btw).

But they're actually doing good jobs. I mean, I'm not drawn in, but I know that they're very good and the multiple storylines are very well plotted.

I guess I'll just have to watch and wait for more.

I guess I'll be marathoning Game of Thrones in 9 months time in preparation for Season 2, then. It begins filming in July.

    Wait...something just occurred to me.

Someone was supposed to die in this season that didn't until Storm of Swords. The fuck?

I can't believe they would cock-teased new material to just to keep fans of the book watching...

I haven't seen the last two episodes yet -- this didn't happen? WTF indeed. Someone throw it in spoiler tags if they know more please. I'm curious.

From what I understand, no, nobody died early. Something must've changed, or maybe the writers just killed him or her off in their heads and in their plans for the next seasons, and a mention of it wasn't in this season. No reason to label them cockteases yet - we don't know the circumstances, so... Just, you know, wait.

I'd rather they cocktease all they need to if that's what it takes to kick the rating up. Just think about it. Maybe if Firefly had cockteased a bit we'd be going for season 8 by now.

    Well, not a death but...

Marillion was the singer at the start of episode 10, I do believe. So he may not die, but that will certainly have and impact on later books.

Though now that I think of it, I believe his part is in book 4 not book 3. So no idea really.

Casting news:Natalie Dormer is Margaery Tyrell :awesome

As someone who loved her in The Tudors, and not just for abundant sex scenes before the series was toned down (her final episode was heart-breakingly well acted) this is :)

    From the books:

She's playing someone accused of fucked up sexual crimes against a king once again. Hmmmm.

But yeah. She was awesome in the Tudors. So that is definitely good news.

    Excited for this :D

Not only did she do a good job in The Tudors, she also looks almost exactly like I pictured Margaery. All she needs is a brunette wig.

So with Camelot cancelled...anybody else think that Eva Green could be a great pick for Melisandre? She's a talented actress, even though Camelot didn't really show that. I think that was more down to just horrible writing/directing on that show. She's very sexy and seductive and even has a bit of an odd accent to add something a little exotic about our favorite lady from Asshai.

Really, any excuse to continue to get to see her naked works for me. She could team up with Ros for all I care.
