I like it because I think is the only story on ff.net where Harry is a necromancer and has a decent lenght

Liked most of it except the later chapters where Harry is spending more time with his friends and such....

 

If you want a Necro!Harry, than you should read Irreversible Destiny by SheWolfe7 it's around 230k words, only it's Slash, and most here don't like that... Even so, I like the story.

About this story: I like it, only too bad the author doesn't update this story very much these days.

 

This story started out really well the beginning really grabbed my attention. I thought this was going to be one of the greatest of stories. I was wrong this story has fallen with the momentum of a chunk of led

 

You know, there are times I wonder about you people. Just like you pathetic humans. People tell you something, and it goes in one ear and out the other, whether or not they are your leaders. I couldnt count on both hands and feet the number or warnings that have been given to you people by the Admin/Mods that you've all ignored.

Seriously, do you people ENJOY having the staff beat the holy fuckstick out of you asshats with a banstick, or are you all just plain stupid?

I actually think the writer screwed up every single possible way, and literally didn't get a single thing right.

The beginning has Harry start as a psychopath, who completely turns insane and evil and starts murdering people after hearing a throwaway insult aimed at his mother. Even the evil!Harry stories from the old DLP days had a better catalyst.

The writer didn't go into the mechanics or details of Harry being a necromancy. Just him being able to summon corpses, skeletons, and summon demons. Real inspiring stuff.

Bellatrix was coerced by a marriage contract and rape into being a Death Eater.

There's Harry going back to Hogwarts, which is the setting for most of the fic. That means a lot of pointless banter with other students and Harry getting cold shoulders, being estranged from prejudiced former friends.

The actions scene are terrible, only summarizing what Harry does in this vein:

The large-scale final battle was curiously like reading an article about a battle from Wikipedia, where it has the summary, the outcome, and the number of casualties.

Too much insipid shit like Dumbledore remarking to Snape about watching out for the new Marauders.

A shopping trip where it’s not even Harry doing the shopping. It’s Ginny, as IP82 mentioned.

I think that, if I were fluent in German and read this in the author's native language, it would still suck and then he would have no excuse at all.

No, just no. Bellatrix is turned into a Mary-Sue with pedophilia tendencies, the grammar, spelling, and punctuation make it a chore to read and the plot holes are big enough to drive a semi through. 1/5

 

Meh, as much as everyone bangs this fic, its still written decently well, at the beginning. I enjoyed most of the first 3/4, but the last part was just plain fucking terrible.

I'd give this a 3/5. Trash bin, sure. Library? Probably not.

 

Incompetent Death Eaters, or deatheaters as they are called in the story, are just the icing on the cake.

Now this story is a blast from the past. I remember reading it a long time ago. It really hasn't aged well.

Funny enough, I really didn't mind the spelling/grammar errors so much then as I do now.

How does it read in German? Maybe this is the product of a pretty bad translation? I think I remember something about him having English beta problems? Maybe I am thinking of someone/thing else.

That said, the story really hasn't aged well. ip82 and Andromalius pretty much hit everything I think about it, no need to bring that up again.

2/5 for a cool idea at the time that, by virtue of poor translation... or just plain bad writing, wasn't executed as well as it could have been.

A 1.5 average rating for a decent try of Harry/Bella from the year 2005... nope that won't do...

I certainly agree on the "quality" of the story, that is a far cry from being good but it is too harsh to judge that fic based on now a days expectations of hp fanfics...

Although I might not even be able to stomach reading the entire fic now, I'd still rate it with a solid 3 if only for the fond memories of when I read it for the first time.

 

Yes I'm reviving a dead thread, as somebody pointed out an earlier poster was doing, but I am currently working on beta'ing this story. Unfortunately I can't get a hold of Heiko2003 in order to get him to post it on FF, so once I'm done I might end up posting it under my name KennethRose while I try and get a hold of him.

 

That's called plagiarism dipshit. Fuck right off.

 

I actually like this story, but I've tried to read a few of KennethRose's stories, and they're not very good so that's not giving me any hope.
