To the surprise of absolutely nobody.

To be honest, it is sad. So many of my favourite musicians have/had the same sort of problems and could be in her place. I don't think she was the most talented of artists, and she was a complete fucking mess both onstage and off, but when she was sober for more than five minutes and really let it go, she had an incredible voice.

 

Can't say it wasn't coming...

And I agree, GL. She has, at times, displayed a great deal of talent. Valerie is one of my favourite songs, and has been since its release.

 

Guess she should've gone to rehab after all.

 

When I see people self-destruct like this, I can't help but think it's a form of subconscious suicide. They have to know on some level that these appetites, left unchecked, are going to kill them.

 

She'll be more popular in death than she was alive. Best thing that could happen for her career.

On topic, I have to admit that Amy's death troubles me. Despite what the comedians said, she was a great singer. I've particularly liked this song, after Valerie and Rehab.

Ten bucks that Glee will now do a tribute to her or some sort of episode dedicated to her and/or using her songs, lol.

Personally I think she was a rubbish singer, her songs were crap and she was just some typical celebrity drug-addict/drunkard. The only things worthwhile to have come from her will probably be the jokes.

 

I want to make a joke about Wine being in her name and alcohol, but I can't figure out how. :/

 

This. I have heard many singers more talented that never got the push she recieved, and would have actually appreciated it. She was shoved down our throats on the radio, and then proceeded to be a giant waste of time in her habits.
