The Energy research is not worth the cost yet, and nuclear has been removed, IIRC. Even if it hasn't most of it hasn't been coded, so don't bother with that. Go for Civil Engineering, Military, and Air.

After a certain point, the marginal gain from any infra or service goes down. Can't say for certain, but it's entirely possible that eventually it starts becoming negative. What's your population?

Yeah, I got a slightly higher population than you (and a much lower tax rate). My increased literacy could be due to my university, my increased pop happiness to the tax rate. 16 clinics, and I have 3% lower disease rate, 10 police stations and 0.5% lower crime. Have you passed any laws that would affect these factors?

 

Not really. Tax rate shouldn't affect Death Rate or Crime Rate and I have more clinics and police stations than you. :-? I have 500 pop density almost half of what usually is, that should make less death rate too.

 

Have you gone to services and recruited the maximum no. of police that you can with the no. of police stations you have? Apparently a lot of people forget. The infrastructure buildings are useless if you don't max out the actual profession it creates. The actual effect comes from recruiting people in the services section.

 

I was saying that tax rate difference is prob the reason for difference in population happiness. Also, what Kraken said.

Made a nation. I deal in Euros and my nation image is China.

Resources are Iron Ore, Sand, Livestock, Natural Gas. Fairly happy with that. Have done my initial splurge, now saving up for a gas power station.

Also have applied to join alliance.

No, I have a coal station, but I'm having to buy coal on the market to fuel it. Would be better to have a natural gas station fed with domestically produced resources.

 

I did that when the armies got reset and everyone got 500 mil. Hope for something like that to happen again.
