Loved the panel. For those who decided to not watch and were wondering, no, nothing "big" was revealed - I mean, Stannis and Mel and Davos's casting happened a few days ago, so yeah. The intention of the showrunners is to, now that they've got the second season and crusing along, is to at least get to the Red Wedding in season three, which is a nice goal that I'm sure all the book readers would love to get to as well (The unsullied fandom reaction alone...). But yeah, funniest moment had to be the four facepalms, two dipped heads and one epic Peter Dinklage face at Jason Momoa's comment about fantasy allowing him to rape beautiful women (I think that joke got away from him, just a bit).

 

Watching some of those questions being asked was painful lol. E.g. girl who felt the need to say "Jon Snow you know nothing":

Knew about the RTS. The site's been up for nearly a year now.

The RPG is new. Considering the studio, I'm not sure if it's going to be any good at all.

 

The RPG is being planned for next-gen consoles. Unless they're talking WiiU, then this means PS4/XBox3.

 

Sounds like we've got the start of our 'must buy' list for the next, next-gen consoles. Unless it comes out on PC, in which case fuck 'em.

Does anyone know if there is any legitimate way to buy a digital copy of this? I've tried browsing around the HBO store but it doesn't seem like there's a copy available there. Really rather annoying since I'm willing to pay for it, but can't find it. I would never pirate anything, but if the urge had even crossed my mind I'm a bit to scared of HBO trying to protect this series.

Sorry if there has been something said in the thread about this, but I didn't see anything and I don't want to reread all 394 posts.

 

If you already have HBO, then you can watch Game of Thrones through "HBO HD on Demand" at any time.

There are no "webdl" rips from iTunes etc., so there's probably no legit digital release. HBO did publicly release a poor quality copy of ep7 on their website for public consumption, but that is the only online release I'm aware of.

According to speculation based on HBO's usual behaviour, we shouldn't expect to see a DVD/Bluray release until a month or two before season 2 airs in April 2012. So look at February/March for a legit purchase.

 

All the confirmed new cast member for the next season.

Margery Tyrell is going to be played by Anne Boleyn, err, Natalie Dormer.



I'm not familiar with the man, but based on image alone, they picked well for Roose Bolton.

Why the hell did they change Asha Greyjoy to Yara Grayjoy?

 

Because Asha is too close to Osha, apparently. Nevermind the fact that Osha is barely mentioned, they fucking picked Yara...makes no sense to me because its just as close to Arya. Stupid choice.
