I don't see why the sorting should change her outfit that way.

One might say a sly Slytherin should be the hottest, because she might intend to gain influence via explicitely chosen boyfriends - but that's the only thing that comes to mind right now.

 

I think it was more pointing towards what house you'd match her with depending on her appearance, not the other way around.
