I have to agree with Taure here. I only recognized Velma, and even that was from the newer movies. Beast Wars was the shit.

Don't forget the campy-tastic Captain Planet.

I would also mention that Sailor Moon was sadly the biggest cartoon/anime back in the 90s. It beat the others in popularity, unfortunately. Literally every girl watched it, back in the day. I'm not sure if it was bigger than Pokemon at its zenith, though.

    EDIT:

After finding this, the ploys some people utilise to sell a pizza.

Yep, them too(I freely admit I used to stay up until 5 in the morning or so just to watch Sailor Moon as a kid. Didn't care they were girls, just enjoyed the show).

Are you sure it wasn't because of the skirts?

    That's why I watched it. ....>.>

Also, watched most of what Taure did, plus CN. Didn't recognize Uno, Ed, or Newtron at first. Read the spoiler then had a 'oh yeah, I see it now," moment. Though, wasn't too big on Codename Kids Next Door.

Loved the hell out of Dexter and Newtron, though.

When I was seven, I'd wake up early on Saturday mornings and turn the television (whose bulbous screen was practically round) to NBC, known to us kids as merely "Channel 7," to catch I am the Greatest, hands-down the best cartoon of all time. It was the epitome of awesome before 'awesome' had even entered the popular lexicon.

Too young at the time to care, though my mom tried to keep me from watching it for probably just that reason. Definitely watched it for that though(and Tenchi Muyo, come to mind) when it re-aired on CN several years down the road.

I have little doubt that He-Man would *want* to fuck Dexter's "arse." Even as a kid I was uncomfortable with the "Ace and Gary" homo-eroticism of He-Man.

    Fucking Bad. Ass.

One question though: Why in the fuck does the picture have VladimirMedvedev.com on it???

EDIT: I'm having a flashback to "Shoe" - that sad-sack cartoon strip in the newspaper. /sadface

I'm sure you were completely lost in all that talk of old cartoons. :nyan:

Completely true, sir. Really, I envy you people for having those seemingly awesome cartoons, books, movies, and games in your youth. I really envy you.

That isn't really an excuse. Some of those shows have aged well, and still worth catching, considering your young age. There's no shame in occasionally indulging your immature side.

Besides, you and your peers haven't completely been deprived. Spongebob and Lizzie McGuire were both staples for those born in 1995/6. Compare with the standard kid's fare today (e.g. Hannah Montana and JONAS), and one can say that even you have been blessed.

Plus tonnes of people, from all different ages groups, paused to watch Avatar: the Last Airbender. Just because a show is aimed at kids doesn't mean that adults can't enjoy it too. My Little Pony, anyone?

    Anyway, some pictures:

The set could belong in Official Funny Pics, but I suppose the jumping cats can be cool as well.
