I agree. That's why I'm so suspicous of Kens and Jwlk. They pretty much did what you're saying.

That is pretty suspicious, but so was Vira's last post, and yours, and pretty much everyone's.

Aside from that, Fenraellis is getting pointed in so many directions (and many for good reasons) that his chances of actually finding any Death Eaters is slim. I for one say we let him work it out by himself, since every post we make pointing him towards someone will just widen the pool of suspects to include ourselves.

After all, the Death Eaters will be purposefully pointing their fingers at innocent people, in order to allay suspicion from themselves, so it can be logically concluded that Fen would then have to suspect those who accused them too.

Group consensus is good for some things, but I think we should let the professional handle this one. In the mean time, maybe we should try working out who to lynch not based on who Fenraellis fingers as a Death Eater (since he may or may not hit a guilty, or may hit the Dark Lord), but whom is acting most suspiciously. Narrow the list down to two people, maybe, so that if Fen decides to investigate one of them and he turns up innocent, we have someone to fall back on as a suspect.

Of course this is all subject to change based on who is killed during the night and the posts during the next day phase, but I don't think all this mindless finger pointing is getting us anywhere. After all, it's usual detective policy to exclude as many people as possible from the suspect list, since working with too large a pool means basically firing in the dark.

And following my own advice, my gut is telling me that Fiat is suspicious based on his overly aggressive accusations. He doesn't seem to spend much time shifting from blaming one person to the next, and while his reasoning is good in some cases, I find it odd that he can be so sure of his targets with so little time to work things out.

I'm just thinking about a way to maximize the utility of the Healer and Hit-Wizard.
    Currently we have this scenario:
    - Only Healer shows up -> Hit-Wizard will know the identity, helpful
    - Healer and Sorcerer show up -> H-W will know both of them but not who is who, helpful
-> either way, no one will try to kill him and the Healer ability is 'wasted'

If we tell the Healer (s)he should throw a coin at the beginning of the night and either heal Fen or someone else then:
    - 50% Healer shows up:
.- no one else, see above HW identifies Healer, helpful
.- Sorcerer shows up, see above
.- DE/DW risk it and fail in killing him, get identified by HW (doesn't know who is who). still helpful

    - 50% Healer doesn't show up
.- no one else shows up, HW is wasted, but Healer has chance to safe someone
.- Sorc shows up and gets identified -> very helpful
.- DW/DE show up and kill him, but at least one goes down because of the HW, bad result

(I don't think the DEs would risk a 50/50 chance, so the last possibility has a lower chance than the other ones.)

This might be a better matrix than the previous one, depending on how we weigh the chance of the Healer saving someone against the chance of a bad outcome at Fens house.

Aekiel, the people most of us are pointing at are acting suspiciously. That's why we're telling Fen to investigate them in the first place. Mishie should be investigated tonight so we can get him and jwik out of the way, and then we can turn our intentions to other people.

The thing you're forgetting is that Fen isn't a professional, despite his role. It's better if we judge people based on group opinion, rather than a single person's judgement. Less chance of us missing something.

Uhhh name one time I did this? In fact, I was one of the first to vote for Rats. The second actually, I was off by a couple minutes/seconds which means I didn't even see the other person vote. I didn't even have a chance to vote for Taure. So you're pulling stuff out of no where in an effort to make me seem suspicious.

Edit: Well since I already seem to be lumped with Mishie in everyones mind, I want you to tell me why exactly you find him suspicious. Is there a reason? Or is it just cuz. Because it seemed that one person said hey Mishie is suspicious (and then admitted they had no reason for doing so) and ever since then people have suspected him for no reason that I can tell.

... I'm pretty sure both things are suspicious. One that you were the second/first person to target Rats and Two that you weren't even stepping into to vote for or against Taure.

    ...

What time-zone are you in? That would clarify the latter.

jwik, just let it go. Every time you bring up Mishie and defend him, you put another nail into your coffin.

    How is it suspicious D:

He said something that was very much anti town. And it was proven that what he was saying was anti town. Therefore, he was voted for.... because he was saying things that weren't good for the town. It also means that I wasn't bandwagoning anyone.

About the Taure thing... I live in the Pacific time zone (3 hours before Eastern) However I was not home at the time. When I got home I posted straight away. Btw, it was a bad idea for Taure to be lynched 2 hours into the day. If you let the day run on, you could have seen what he had to say, or see if anyone would subtly defend him. Lynching him within two hours left us in this situation.... having no one really to suspect.

WTF are you talking about, jwik? Taure was GUILTY. Why on earth would we not lynch him immediately? Only the stupidest of Death Eaters would try to defend him after that, but judging how much progress we seem to have made on only the second day, I wouldn't be surprised if someone did try to.

Besides, we have suspects. You, Mishie, Kens, HoS, and Fiat / Zeit.

That just sounds, well, incredibly, pointlessly risky. I mean, seriously? You'd rather the healer try to heal some random guy who has a very low chance of being killed over the guy we actually want to protect?

Well its been mentioned a few times in this thread that the Death Eaters aren't the best players. Maybe they're new and would attempt to defend him. He would have gotten lynched regardless, thats not the issue.

Anyway, I won't even mention our 'suspects' for the night. It gets ignored anyway there's no point :p

I've been trying to figure out what exactly happened with Taure. It seemed that he did absolutely not give two fucks about the game, considering the way he acted. Do you think that perhaps he tried to get himself killed because he wanted to spite his team-mates? Is there anyone else playing who doesn't get on with him?

I'm still pretty suspicious of HoS, but I'd encourage investigation of, well, any of the people who have barely posted.

Judging by the way jwik is acting, I think we should be prepared to lynch him (or Mishie) if he turns up Not Guilty. That only proves that he could be the Dark Lord (a horribly chosen one, but a Dark Lord either way). To make doubly sure, we should investigate both jwik and Mishie in a row. If one is guilty and the other is not, then it's very likely we have a Dark Lord on our hands.
